Social-cultural transformations in the modern world play an important role not only in education and general socialization, but also decide about the teachers' axiological preferences and attitudes. They also have a significant effect on the quality of catechization, mainly on the range of the catechist's didactic and educational tasks at school. The task connected with education of children and adolescents in the spirit of tolerance should be included here. However, the point is not to be adjusted to the commonly propagated slogans, in which tolerance is understood very widely, but it is the attitude that is the expression of properly understood tolerance, based on Christian axiology. Hence, the aim of the present study is to refer to the issues connected with transmission of knowledge and with shaping socially desired attitudes of tolerance among the catechized pupils. First the concept of 'tolerance', and then the features distinguishing the attitude of tolerance among catechists are described. Against this background the role of tolerance in school catechesis and the ways of forming tolerance in the catechized pupils are described.

Missionary Formation of Children in the Virtual World

The article shows that the virtual world has become a very important space of children’s daily life as they seem to spend quite a lot of time there. It seems to hold a role in their enculturation and that’s why it is crucial to use it in missionary formation. Catholic Church uses the Internet to inform about missions, missionary actions and work all around the world as well as to inform about “support” web-sites. Through those, She makes available various means and tools for religion teachers, catechists and ministers like lesson scenarios, stage productions, movies, photos or PowerPoint presentations and encourages to take part in different competitions on missions and missionary life, such as The White Week of children that received their First Holy Communion. Though one can find in information on missions a noticeable lack of various games both on-line and board, as well as quizzes and interactive applications. The task of creating new, interactive multimedia becomes an extra challenge that Catholic Church in Poland faces today.

Artykuł wykazuje, że świat wirtualny stał się niezwykle ważną przestrzenią codziennego życia dzieci, skoro spędzają w nim stosunkowo dużo czasu. Wydaje się spełniać rolę w ich inkulturacji, dlatego jest istotny w zastosowaniu do formacji misyjnej. Kościół Katolicki stosuje Internet do informowania o misjach, akcjach misyjnych i działalności na całym świecie, a także do informowania o tak zwanych „wspierających” stronach internetowych. Poprzez nie Kościół udostępnia rozmaite sposoby i narzędzia dla nauczycieli religii, katechetów i duchownych takie jak scenariusze lekcji, przedstawienia teatralne, filmy, zdjęcia lub prezentacje PowerPoint. Zachęcają także do udziału w konkursach o tematyce misyjnej i życia misyjnego takich jak, chociażby, Biały tydzień dzieci, które przystąpiły do Pierwszej komunii. Jednakże można zauważyć, że w informacjach o misjach w zauważalny sposób brakuje rozmaitych gier, tak online, jak i planszowych, a także kwizów czy aplikacji interaktywnych. Zadanie utworzenia nowych, interaktywnych multimediów staje się dodatkowym wyzwaniem, przed którym stoi Kościół Katolicki w Polsce.

Katechetyczne znaczenie encykliki Laudato si’

This article raises a question of the possibility and need of catechetical adaptation of Laudato si encyclical by Pope Francis. Excerpts of the encyclical showing different forms of integral ecology and appreciation on the basis of ecology of such attitudes as gratitude, humbleness and cheerfulness undoubtedly pose challenges for the contemporary catechesis. They have the current knowledge about ecology and can be effectively used in school or parish catechesis in ecological education. The content of this encyclical comprises the source of ecological formation both for the catechist and the catechized. From the practical point of view many issues discussed in this encyclical can constitute the material to prepare the scripts of catechesis.

Artykuł porusza ważną kwestię możliwości i potrzeby katechetycznej adaptacji encykliki Laudato si’ papieża Franciszka. Fragmenty encykliki wskazujące na różne formy ekologii integralnej oraz dowartościowanie na gruncie ekologii takich postaw jak wdzięczność, pokora i pogoda ducha stanowią bez wątpienia wyzwania dla współczesnej katechezy. Zawierają one aktualną wiedzę o ekologii i mogą skutecznie posłużyć w katechezie szkolnej bądź parafialnej do wychowania ekologicznego. Treści encykliki stanowią źródło formacji ekologicznej zarówno dla samego katechety, jak i katechizowanych. Z praktycznego punktu widzenia wiele kwestii poruszonych w encyklice może stanowić materiał do przygotowania scenariuszy katechez.
