Polish Americans are the most important group of Poles and people of Polish origin living outside of Poland. The number of Polish Americans in the United States of America amounts to approximately ten million people, of varying degrees of Polish descent and levels of identification with Polish ancestors, and with the Polish ethnic group in the USA. The most significant organization of Polish Americans is the Polish American Congress (PAC). The political activity of Polish Americans is based on shared values, the most significant of them being conservative ones: patriotism, anti-communism, democracy, strong law and religiousness. These values were decisive for Polish Americans ’ attitudes towards various political challenges in present-day Poland, political parties in Poland, European integration and the expansion of NATO.

Polonia amerykańska stanowi najważniejszą społeczność Polaków i osób pochodzenia polskiego żyjących poza Polską. Liczy około dziesięć milionów osób o różnym stopniu polskiego pochodzenia i różnym poziomie identyfikacji z narodem przodków oraz polską grupą etniczną w USA. Jej najważniejszą strukturą organizacyjnąjest Kongres Polonii Amerykańskiej. Aktywność polityczna Polonii amerykańskiej opiera się na wyznawanych przez nią wartościach. Wśród nich najistotniejsze to wartości konserwatywne: patriotyzm, antykomunizm, demokracja, silne prawo, religijność. Wartości te zadecydowały o stosunku Polonii amerykańskiej do współczesnych wyzwań politycznych, które stały przed Polską, polskich partii politycznych, integracji europejskiej i rozszerzenia NATO.

The main issue of this article is France and Europe in the political program of French National Front and pronouncements of Marine Le Pen. The National Front is a nationalist political party. Nationalism is a political thought, in which the idea of nation and the national state are the superior principle. The National Front was founded in 1972 by Jean-Marie Le Pen. The current leader of this party is his daughter – Marine Le Pen. She wants to dissolve the European Union. In her opinion the main problem for the European nations is immigration. The nationalist parties in Europe are afraid of multiculturalism, immigrants and Islam.

Głównym zagadnieniem poruszanym w artykule jest Francja i Europa w programie Frontu Narodowego i deklaracjach Marine Le Pen. Front Narodowy jest francuską partią polityczną o proweniencji nacjonalistycznej. Nacjonalizm jest kierunkiem myśli politycznej, w którym idea narodu i państwa narodowego jest wartością nadrzędną. Front Narodowy powstał w 1972 roku. Został założony przez Jeana-Marie Le Pena. Obecnie jego liderką jest jego córka Marine Le Pen. Z jej wypowiedzi wynika żądanie rozwiązania Unii Europejskiej. W jej opinii najważniejszym problemem narodów Unii jest imigracja. Nacjonaliści obawiają się wielokulturowości, imigrantów i islamu.
