The article deals with the question of the language and the style of drama Potrójny z Plauta by Piotr Ciekliński. The author of the treatise emphasized the most important components creating the artistic structure of the work, especially regional elements which are so essential for the writings of old literature.

The article refers to conception of carnivalisation of literature as initiated by Mikhail Bakhtin, but is composed of a completely different mode and formulates conclusions with respect the newest scientific stances. Particular comedies are looked at form the perspective of multitext, which leads to formulation of a final conclusion that in the minstrel society there was no work but play recognized as a form of everyday conduct. The play was made the source of incomes, and thus allowed them to maintain the minimum level required for existence. If they started some work, they aimed at cheating and making fun of gullible burghers to earn at their cost and 'joyfully romp' while staging another play at an improvised stage.

This text deals with the work by Ciekliński and shows various backgrounds of it. The first one is the context of remains of letters which survived until today, the other one treats about the dedications which were printed before "Potrójny" z Plauta was first published.

The article deals with the problem of happiness in the Polish plebeian comedy of the 16th and 17th centuries. It is based on the trials to prove that the border between hapiness and unhappiness is extremely unstable and easily changeable. Moreover, the aim of the article is to show that many works are dominated by the contradictions, which are the major determinants of the plebeian comedy.
