The article discusses the attitude towards architecture of Krzysztof Opaliński, which has not been developed by researchers yet. The magnate ordered designs for his palaces in Włoszakowice and in Warsaw with Constante Tencalla, who probably also designed the parish church in Włoszakowice. Opaliński expressed his opinions on architecture in his own poems and in letters to his brother Łukasz, the alleged author of the first Polish-language architectural treatise. Opaliński's views, partly coincident with those expressed in this treatise, were the result of reading French and Italian treaties and architectural templates, but also the work of Peter Paul Rubens Palazzo di Genova, published in 1622.

W artykule omówiono nieopracowany jak dotąd przez badaczy stosunek Krzysztofa Opalińskiego do architektury. Magnat zamawiał projekty swoich pałaców we Włoszakowicach oraz w Warszawie u Constantego Tencalli, który zapewne projektował też  kościół parafialny we Włoszakowicach. Swoje opinie na temat budownictwa Opaliński zawarł w pisanych przez siebie wierszach oraz w listach do swojego brata Łukasza, domniemanego autora pierwszego polskojęzycznego traktatu architektonicznego. Poglądy Opalińskiego, częściowo zbieżne z wyrażonymi w tym traktacie, były wynikiem lektury włoskich i  francuskich traktatów i wzorników architektonicznych, ale też dzieła Petera Paula Rubensa Palazzo di Genova, wydanego w 1622 roku.
