This paper will analyze the hip-hop art composition as an intermedial structure created from such elements as: musical text, post-typographic orature and visual image, in which the postmoderm poetics is linked with elements of archaic oral culture. Its connection allows the author to exceed the limits of the contemporary “high” art and create the common text-reality which mediates between the sender and the receiver. In the paper I will also analyze the intratextual persuasive mechanisms and rhetorical strategies which allow the rap artist to present his own vision of the world to the listener. The analysis is based on the works of Łukasz Rostkowski (stage name L.U.C.), especially the album 38/89 Understanding Poland.
