Po wyborze na Stolicę Piotrową papież Franciszek bardzo szybko wszedł w świat młodych ludzi i zaskarbił sobie ich zaufanie. Nawiązał z nimi życzliwy, ale i wymagający dialog, który sprawił, że dla wielu stał się ważnym punktem odniesienia oraz przewodnikiem i towarzyszem po drogach wiary i życia. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie głównych treści papieskiego nauczania skierowanego do młodzieży oraz zadań, jakie stawia Franciszek młodemu pokoleniu chrześcijan w Kościele i w świecie. Studium przedmiotu objęło analizę oficjalnych dokumentów i wypowiedzi papieża Franciszka, jakimi są coroczne orędzia na Światowy Dzień Młodzieży, homilie podczas Mszy św. w uroczystość Niedzieli Palmowej (która w Kościele obchodzona jest również jako Światowy Dzień Młodzieży w wymiarze diecezjalnym), przemówienia i homilie ze Światowych Dni Młodzieży w Rio de Janeiro i w Krakowie oraz List do młodych z okazji przygotowania Documento Preparatorio XV Zgromadzenia Ogólnego Zwyczajnego Synodu Biskupów na temat „Młodzież, wiara i rozeznanie powołania”. W ich świetle wyszczególniono następujące zagadnienia: 1) młodość; 2) misja młodych w Kościele; 3) misja młodych w świecie.

Following his election as the Bishop of Rome Pope Francis immediately entered the world of young people and won their trust. He has established with them a kind, yet challenging dialogue that made the Pope an important source of reference, a guide and a companion on the paths of faith and life. This article aims at presenting the main content of the papal teaching addressed to the young people as well as the tasks set by Francis to the young generation of Christians in the church and the world. The study involves analysis of official documents and speeches of Pope Francis that constitute yearly messages for the World Youth Day, homilies delivered during Palm Sunday celebrations (which is treated in Church as the World Youth Day at a diocesan level), speeches and homilies from Rio de Janeiro and Cracow World Youth Days as well as the letter addressed to the young people on the occasion of the presentation of the preparatory document of the 15th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops dealing with the topic «Young People, the Faith and Vocational Discernment». The following issues were separated in the light of the above documents: 1) the Youth, 2) the Mission of the Young People in the Church, 3) the Mission of the Young People in the world.

The diocesan celebration of the World Youth Day has been celebrated in the Szczecin-Kamien (Kamień) Church since 1990. Over the course of over thirty years, the form of this meeting has changed, but the essential elements of the program are constantly accompanying the celebration of the young archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamien (Kamień). The aim of this article is to present the history of the Youth Days, which initially gathered young people in the capital of the diocese, in Szczecin, and since 2003 have been held in various places throughout the archdiocese. For this purpose, a query was carried out in the Archives of the Pastoral Department of the Metropolitan Curia and press reports published in the diocesan magazine Church on the Oder and the Baltic Sea were used. The undertaken research was aimed at describing the phenomenon of the Archdiocesan Youth Days not only from the historical point of view, but also from the theological and pastoral point of view. Every year, the festival of young people gathers hundreds of people who take part in a rich religious, spiritual, cultural, artistic and recreational program. This program is evangelistic oriented, but the content that is offered to young people is presented in an accessible and understandable form for them. The basic assumption that accompanies the development of the program of the next editions of the Youth Days is to create a space where young people will experience a personal meeting with God, deepen their faith, experience the beauty of the Church community, meet peers with whom they will spend time together in various ways they had the opportunity to share their faith and seek answers to the most important existential questions. The Archdiocesan Youth Days are a testimony to the involvement of the Szczecin-Kamien (Kamień) Church in the work of accompanying young people on the path of faith and a sign that the Church wants to listen to their voice and appreciate the contribution they make to the life of the local community.

Die diözesane Feier des Weltjugendtags wird seit 1990 in der Kirche von Szczecin-Kamieński begangen. Im Laufe von mehr als dreißig Jahren hat sich die Form dieses Treffens verändert, aber die wesentlichen Elemente des Programms haben die Feier der Jugendlichen der Erzdiözese Szczecin-Camień weiterhin begleitet. Ziel dieses Artikels ist es, die Geschichte der Jugendtage darzustellen, die zunächst in der Diözesanhauptstadt Szczecin stattfanden und seit 2003 in verschiedenen Städten der Erzdiözese abgehalten werden. Dazu wurde im Archiv der Pastoralabteilung der Metropolitankurie recherchiert und Presseberichte in der Diözesanzeitschrift Kirche an Oder und Ostsee herangezogen. Die durchgeführte Untersuchung beschreibt das Phänomen der Erzdiözesanen Jugendtage nicht nur von der historischen, sondern auch von der theologischen und pastoralen Seite. Das Festival der Jugend versammelt jedes Jahr Hunderte von Menschen, die an einem reichhaltigen religiösen, spirituellen, kulturellen, künstlerischen und Freizeitprogramm teilnehmen. Das Programm ist auf die Evangelisierung ausgerichtet, aber die Inhalte, die den Jugendlichen angeboten werden, sind in einer für sie zugänglichen und verständlichen Form gehalten. Die Grundannahme, die die Entwicklung des Programms der aufeinanderfolgenden Ausgaben der Jugendtage begleitet, besteht darin, einen solchen Raum zu schaffen, in dem die jungen Menschen eine persönliche Begegnung mit Gott erleben, ihren Glauben vertiefen, die Schönheit der Gemeinschaft der Kirche erfahren, sich mit Gleichaltrigen treffen, mit denen sie bei gemeinsamer Zeit die Möglichkeit haben, ihren Glauben auf verschiedene Weise zu teilen und Antworten auf die wichtigsten existentiellen Fragen zu suchen. Die Jugendtage der Erzdiözese sind ein Zeugnis für das Engagement der Kirche von Szczecin-Kamień bei der Begleitung junger Menschen auf dem Weg des Glaubens und ein Zeichen dafür, dass die Kirche auf ihre Stimme hören und den Beitrag, den sie zum Leben der örtlichen Gemeinschaft leisten, wertschätzen möchte.

Diecezjalne obchody Światowego Dnia Młodzieży są celebrowane w Kościele szczecińsko-kamieńskim od 1990 roku. W ciągu ponad trzydziestu lat zmieniała się forma tego spotkania, ale zasadnicze elementy programu nieprzerwanie towarzyszą świętowaniu młodych archidiecezji szczecińsko-kamieńskiej. Celem niniejszego artykułu jest przedstawienie historii Dni Młodych, które początkowo gromadziły młodzież w stolicy diecezji, w Szczecinie, a od 2003 roku odbywają się w różnych miejscowościach na terenie całej archidiecezji. Przeprowadzono kwerendę w Archiwum Wydziału Duszpasterskiego Kurii Metropolitalnej oraz skorzystano z relacji prasowych zamieszczonych w diecezjalnym czasopiśmie Kościół nad Odrą i Bałtykiem. W podjętych badaniach opisano fenomen Archidiecezjalnych Dni Młodych nie tylko od strony historycznej, ale również teologiczno-pastoralnej. Święto młodych gromadzi każdego roku setki osób, które biorą udział w bogatym programie religijnym, duchowym, kulturalnym, artystycznym, rekreacyjnym. Program ten jest zorientowany ewangelizacyjnie, ale treści, które proponuje się młodym, są podane w przystępnej i zrozumiałej dla nich formie. Podstawowym założeniem, które towarzyszy opracowywaniu programu kolejnych edycji Dni Młodych, jest stworzenie takiej przestrzeni, w której młodzi ludzie doświadczą osobistego spotkania z Bogiem, pogłębią swoją wiarę, doświadczą piękna wspólnoty Kościoła, spotkają się z rówieśnikami, z którymi spędzając wspólnie czas, na różne sposoby będą mieli okazję dzielić się wiarą i poszukiwać odpowiedzi na najważniejsze egzystencjalne pytania. Archidiecezjalne Dni Młodych są świadectwem zaangażowania Kościoła szczecińsko-kamieńskiego w dzieło towarzyszenia młodym ludziom na drogach wiary oraz oznaką tego, że Kościół chce słuchać ich głosu i doceniać wkład, jaki wnoszą w życie lokalnej wspólnoty.
