Artykuł omawia najpierw pojęcie sektora innowacyjnego i jego rozumienie jako triady, potrójnej helisy, następnie podstawowe przyczyny słabości sektora innowacyjnego w Polsce. Omówione są też zmiany sektora innowacyjnego wniesione przez rewolucje informacyjną, rozróżnienie innowacji przełomowych i powszednich wraz z różnicami dynamiki ich penetracji społecznej, rozróżnienie innowacyjności i kreatywności wraz z różnym pojmowaniem źródeł kreatywności, wreszcie wnioski co do stymulacji kreatywności poprzez kształcenie oraz ogólne wnioski dla Polski.

The paper discusses first the concept of innovation sector and its understanding as a triad, triple helix, then the fundamental reasons for the weakness of innovation sector in Poland. Further discussed are the changes of innovation sector due to informational revolution, the distinction of breakthrough innovations and everyday innovations together with their different dynamics of social penetration, the distinction between innovativeness and creativeness together with diverse understanding of the sources of creativeness, finally conclusions concerning the stimulation of creativeness by education and general conclusions for Poland.
