The analysis of women’s memoirs, which unite peculiarly the history and feelings, complete the image of an epoch, written by men-politicians, men-historians and writers, and is of great scientific interest. Women’s nature, a priori assuming the sacralization of feelings as only one possible prism of the reception of a fact, so vividly embodied in a confessional genre, defines a “special reading” of the history in the first Russian women’s memoirs Self-made Notes of Natalie Dolgoroukaya (Своеручные записки Наталии Борисовны Долгорукой, 1767). “Feminine writing” interprets life as a love story. This feeling that has become a synonym of life, allowed the memoirist to see beyond the outer sings of an epoch some eternal truths both national, predefined by the mental nature of Russians, and universal, proving that a feminine view succumbing a masculine one in the historically accurate description of the facts, appears as deeper in the intuitive, sensual comprehension of timeless truths that provide a clue to the code of the epoch. So, feelings apparently obscuring the history expand the score of its vision by personal emotions, enriching the image of facts constituting a historical event.
