The inaugural speech of president elect is one of the most important types of political discourse. The tradition of this genre was formed many years ago in the United States of America. It is a new genre in Russia, but it is becoming more and more important. The material for the research was Russian Presidents’ inaugural speeches (President Putin: 2000, 2004, 2012, President Medvedev: 2008). The author analyzed the verbalization of main concepts of Russian political discourse (Russia, country, nation, unity).
