Пропонована стаття присвячена порівняльному дослідженню засобів вираження логічної сегментації в англійській мові та українській мові. Тема статті обумовлена,тим що вивчення функціональної перспективи речення на сьогодні є найважливішим етапом у формуванні комунікативно-функціональної граматики будь-якої мови. У статті проаналізовані загальні теоретичні засади поняття «сегментація». Охарактеризовано основні особливості сегментації речення в лінгвістиці. У ході роботи висвітлено основні етапи наукової думки в галузі порівняльного мовознавства, розглянуто такі поняття як «сегментація», «логічна сегментація», а також проаналізовано принципи логічної сегментації речень в аналізованих мовах. Проведено системний аналіз наявний даних з проблеми сегментації. Виділено й проаналізовано засоби вираження сегментації в мовах. Зʼясовано, комплекс головних розбіжностей сегментації речень в українській та англійській мові. Встановлено комплексний аналіз педагогічного, психологічного і лінгвістичного знання з проблеми дослідження. Виявлено механізм сегментації, який є одним із спеціальних механізмів, що забезпечують всі аспекти комунікації. Проаналізовано й описано реальні зв’язки у реченні. Виділено, узагальнено й систематизовано знань з питань особливостей сегментації англомовного тексту. Проведений зіставно-типологічний опис двох мов з даної проблеми. Виходячи з даних теорій, виділено основні проблеми сегментації речення в англійській мові. На основі порівняння з англійською мовою детально виділені і описані в порівняльному плані синтаксичні, граматичні та лексичні способи виділення теми і реми. В ході роботи виявлено універсальне в механізмах сегментації висловлювання в англійській і українській мовах, а також визначені ті області, які вибірково притаманні або англійській мові, або українській мові. У статті розглянуто явище сегментації в pізниx aспeктax: істopія poзвитку структур як експресивних oдиниць літepaтуpнoї мови, пpoaнaлізoвaнo pізнoвиди сегментації.

The proposed article is devoted to the comparative study of the means of expression of the logical segmentation in English and Ukrainian. The topic of the article is determined by the fact that the study of functional perspective of a sentence is now the most important stage in the formation of communicative and functional grammar of any language. The article analyzes the general theoretic foundations of the notion of “segmentation”. The main features of sentence segmentation in linguistics are characterized. In the course of the work main stages of scientific thought in the field of comparative linguistics are reflected, such concepts as “segmentation”, “logical segmentation” are studied, and principles of the logical segmentation of sentences in the languages under consideration are analysed. A systematic analysis of the available data on the problem of segmentation is performed. The means of segmentation expression in the languages are identified and analyzed. It has been revealed that the complex of the main differences in the segmentation of sentences in Ukrainian and English languages. The complex analysis of pedagogical, psychological and linguistic knowledge of the research problem has been established. The mechanism of segmentation, which is one of the special mechanisms providing all aspects of communication, has been revealed. Real links in a sentence are analysed and described. The knowledge on the peculiarities of segmentation of the English-language text has been identified, summarized and systematized. A comparative-typological description of the two languages on the problem has been carried out. Based on these theories, the main problems of sentence segmentation in English are highlighted. Based on the comparison with the English language, the syntactic, grammatical and lexical ways of separating the topic and the rheme are highlighted and described in detail in a comparative perspective. In the course of the study, the universal mechanisms of sentence segmentation in English and Ukrainian are revealed, as well as the areas that are selective in either English or Ukrainian. The article considers the phenomenon of segmentation in different aspects: the history of the development of structures as expressive units of literary language, the types of segmentation are analyzed.

This article analyzes the status of sentential structures of the type Wątpię w Piotra in Polish and Съмнявам се в Петър in Bulgarian (“I doubt about Peter”), taking into account the specificity of their meanings, which are different in both languages. On the basis of the semantic syntax model, the article investigates the possibility of, on the one hand, analyzing such structures as elements of a subcategorization frame and, on the other hand, as examples of structures that undergo the process of phraseologization. The conclusions reached in the article result from this contrastive study. The research question addressed in this paper is relevant for the problem of the form and the boundaries of a lexical entry, which is an important issue in lexicography.

В статье представлен анализ статуса предложных структур типа польск. Wątpię w Piotra, болг. Съмнявам се в Петър, при этом учтена специфика их значения, различающая анализируемые языки. На основании модели семантического синтаксиса рассмотрена, с одной стороны, возможность причисления данных структур к элементам валентного образца, а с другой стороны, данные конструкции показаны как пример структур, подлежащих процессу фразеологизации. В статье представлены выводы сопоставительного характера. Анализируемая проблема касается важных для лексикографии вопросов границы и формы словарной статьи.

Питальне висловлення як компонент народнопісенного дискурсу: лінгвокульторологічний аспект

Лінгвокультурологічний підхід у поліпарадигмальному просторі сучасного мовознавства детермінує появу наукових студій, присвячених аналізові різнорівневих мовних одиниць як етномаркованих ресурсів, що виражають національну культуру та ментальність у текстах народної творчості, у фольклорі, пареміях. У цьому аспекті вирізняються українські народні пісні, високу поетичність, експресивність, образність та ліризм яких створюють синтаксичні конструкції. Зокрема у статті проаналізовано питальні конструкції як посутні компоненти народнопісенного дискурсу, що заторкують ментальні сфери мовної особистості й маркують національно-мовний світогляд мовця-українця. На багатому фактичному матеріалі визначено комунікативно-інтенційний зміст питальних висловлень, схарактеризовано моделі-реалізації інтенцій запиту, які, як засвідчує створена джерельна база, вербалізують, з одного боку, різноспрямовані питальні компоненти (займенники й прислівники), що вербалізують зʼясувальні інтенції, спрямовані на розвиток когнітивного процесу-пошуку, а з іншого боку, питальні частки, що актуалізують у народнопісенному дискурсі емоційно-оцінну семантику (сумнів, припущення, здивування, докір, сміх, образу тощо). З використанням релевантної лінгвометодології представлено адресантно-адресатний континуум пісенної комунікації (мати – син, батько – донька, чоловік – дружина, брат – сестра та ін.), що підкреслює важливу роль питальних конструкцій у реалізації діалогійності, у створенні природності й динамічності пісні, у вираженні первинних та вторинних функцій питальності. Докладне вивчення різножанрових пісень (колядок і щедрівок, веснянок, коломийок, пісень купальських, хрестинних, колискових, родинно-побутових, соціально-побутових та ін.) вможливило визначення функційного потенціалу питальних конструкцій, спрямованого на вираження експресивності, емоційності та оцінки, на увиразнення мажорної чи мінорної тональності пісні, на вияскравлення глибинної чуттєвості та поетичності людини як репрезентанта української культури та лінгвоментальності.

The linguo-cultural approach in the poly-paradigmatic scope of modern linguistics determines the appearance of scientific studies on multilevel language units as ethnomarked resources that express national culture and mentality in the folk literary texts, folklore, parables. In this aspect, Ukrainian folk songs stand out due to the high poeticism, expressiveness, imagery and lyricism created by syntactic constructions. This article, in particular, analyzes interrogative constructions as meaningful components of folk song discourse that affect mental spheres of the language personality and mark the national-linguistic worldview of the Ukrainian speaker. Drawing upon the research material the author defined communicative-intentional content of interrogative statements, characterized the models-realization of query intentions, which, as evidenced by the created source data, verbalize, on the one hand, multidirectional interrogative components (pronouns and adverbs) that embody explanatory intentions aimed at cognitive process-search, and on the other hand, interrogative particles that actualize emotional and evaluative semantics (doubts, assumptions, surprise, reproach, laughter, resentment, etc.) in the folk song discourse. By using the relevant linguistic methodology, it became possible to present the addresser-addressee continuum of song communication (mother – son, father – daughter, husband – wife, brother – sister, etc.), which emphasizes the important role of interrogative constructions in dialogic speech, in creating naturalness and dynamics of the song, as well as in the expression of primary and secondary interrogative functions. A detailed study of various genres of songs (Christmas carols, spring songs, bathing songs, baptismal songs, lullabies, family-household songs, social-household songs, etc.) enabled us to determine the functional potential of interrogative constructions aimed at expressiveness, emotionality and evaluation. It is also focused on the major and minor key of the song, highlighting deep sensuality and poeticism of man as a representative of Ukrainian culture and linguo-mentality.
