Wydana 50 lat temu książka profesora Jerzego Piotrowskiego Zabezpieczenie społeczne. Problematyka i metody okazała się publikacją nadzwyczajną: mimo że autor napisał ją w innych warunkach ustrojowych i upłynęło wiele czasu od jej wydania, w Polsce w zakresie szeroko rozumianej problematyki polityki społecznej jest to jedna z najczęściej cytowanych pozycji literatury przedmiotu. Wywołanie dyskusji naukowej na temat zabezpieczenia społecznego pod pretekstem jubileuszu książki Jerzego Piotrowskiego wydaje się jak najbardziej uzasadnione. W niniejszym artykule zaproponowano rozpatrywanie systemu zabezpieczenia społecznego w ujęciu aspektowym. Każdy z ośmiu wyróżnionych aspektów można opisywać i wyjaśniać, odnosząc się zarówno do rozważań teoretycznych, jak i rozwiązań praktycznych, dostrzegając przenikanie się zakresów problematyki czy też charakterystyk poglądów.

Published 50 years ago book by professor Jerzy Piotrowski „Zabezpieczenie społeczne. Problematyka i metody” (Social security. Problems and methods) turned out the extraordinary publication: despite of the fact the author wrote it in the different political conditions and many years passed since its release, in Poland this is one of the most cited literature in the scope of social policy science. Calling the scientific discussion about social security under the pretext of the anniversary book by Jerzy Piotrowski seems like the most reasonable. This article proposes a considertion of the social security system in the aspects-oriented approach. Each of the eight distinguished aspects can be described and explained, referring to both the theoretical and practical solutions, recognizing the permeation range issues or characteristics views.
