Usually, the modernisation of the Slovak Army in 1939-1945 is associated with the Eiche Armaments Programme. The basic facts about the Eiche Programme and the material supplied are relatively well known. However, little is known about the details of this material and its deployment by either the Slovak Army or the 1st Czechoslovak Army in Slovakia. This issue also applies to the leIG 18 7.5 cm infantry cannons delivered.
