Media ownership in Ukraine has been of interest to many researchers for years, so it could not be absent at this particular time. In the widespread chaos of the war that prevailed in Ukraine after 24 February 2022, Ukrainian and foreign experts have repeatedly drawn attention to the role of the media. Since the beginning of the war, the Ukrainian media have started to work together according to a single agenda, centred around the latest news from the front. The media are mostly owned by the oligarchs. The oligarchs are also part of Ukraine’s complex media system. Just before the war broke out, the oligarchs left which caused a general outcry. Upon their return, business people spoke quite impartially about the war. The aim of the presented article is to present the impact of the war on Ukrainian private media and media business.

Własność medialna w Ukrainie od lat stanowi zainteresowanie wielu badaczy, dlatego w tym szczególnym czasie nie mogło zabraknąć analizy tego tematu. W powszechnym chaosie wojny, który zapanował w Ukrainie po 24 lutego 2022 roku, ukraińscy i zagraniczni eksperci wielokrotnie zwracali uwagę na rolę mediów. Ukraińskie media od początku wojny zaczęły działać wspólnie według jednego programu, skupionego wokół najświeższych wiadomości z frontu. Właścicielami mediów w większości są oligarchowie. Oligarchowie również stanowią część złożonego systemu medialnego Ukrainy. Tuż przed wybuchem wojny oligarchowie wyjechali, co spowodowało ogólne oburzenie. Po powrocie ludzie biznesu wypowiadali się dość bezstronnie na temat wojny. Celem przedstawionego artykułu jest zaprezentowanie wpływu wojny na ukraińskie media prywatne oraz biznes medialny.
