Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an important element of modern management system of innovative companies in agribusiness, that allows better interaction with various groups of stakeholders involved. Innovation in agribusiness is a necessity arising from a frequent need of adjustment to the requirements of a market economy. Important factors of the development of an enterprise are: implementation of the innovation, openness to ideas of employees, friendly and partner relations with people generating ideas, support of independent employees and their way of thinking.

Partnership cooperation of food economy sector (farms, processing enterprises, distribution) can form an important element of strategic activities facilitating development of competitive advantage also in the context of participation of Polish agribusiness in the international food trade. Currently activities focused on cooperation within food products distribution channels is missing. The weak market position of farms is the basic barrier to changes in economic relations between agribusiness entities. Agricultural producers show low activity in the area of horizontal integration. By the end of June 2007 46 groups of pigs producers and 5 groups of cattle producers were registered in Poland. In total they integrated 2,700 farms. The farms covered by the study indicated the clear domination of food processing enterprises in regulation of the principles of cooperation. Farmers most often indicated pricing, quality standardization, classification of products and system of financial settlements as the elements with the highest domination of meat industry. Only few farms (12.0% of pigs producers and 8.3% of cattle producers covered) defined cooperation with processing enterprises as based on full partnership.

The agritechnical fertilization treatment is also one of the most important and most difficult treatment in crop production. Issues related to fertilization is associated with the need to respect a number of factors related to the environmental, technical, economic and legal aspects. Many sides of this issue causes, that an important role in order to optimize fertilizing at a farm level has the consulting business. The paper presents the most important centers in agribusiness and its environment, conducting fertilization advisory. Are presented the main centers conducting advisory services to farmers and other entities.

In the introduction, the article presents a brief reflection on collaborative farming in Poland and abroad. There is also a formulated objective of the study, which is to show the essence of agricultural productive cooperatives’ activity and their role in the farmers’ and local communities’ protection. The following section presents used research methods and the subjective, spatial and temporal scope of own research. Subsequent parts of the article relate to the description of the history of APCs in Poland with an explanation of the causes of their foundation and liquidating, presentation the essence and the role of cooperative activi-ties in agriculture with an indication of the advantages of collective farming and characteris-tics of agricultural, economic and social activities of Polish APCs. At the end of the article there is the summary of the undertaken considerations and conclu-sions.

Studies over entrepreneurship are conducted within the framework of different scientific disciplines and involve the use of a variety of methodological approaches. They cover many different sectors of the economy as well. The paper presents a concept of entrepreneurship based on structural (network) approach. This approach permits to perceive entrepreneurship as an activity of creating, conducting and maintaining an economic organization, determined by the structure of social relations and the character of actions undertaken within its framework. The described aspect of entrepreneurship was applied to the agribusiness sector by means of presentation of two research proposals concerning farms and firms.
