Physical - risk taking activities can be classified along a continuum ranging from prosociality to antisociality. The present study was aimed at identifying the personality factors from Zuckerman's alternative five model common to those who engage in physical risky activities, and those that differentiate among the groups along the continuum. The sample consisted of 89 prosocial risk takers - policemen preparing for the pace keeping mission in Kosovo (for example: antiterrorists, pyrotechnics, detectives from Central Bureau of Investigation (Polish FBI) and 75 antisocial risk takers incarcerated for having committed armed robbery. Subjects were administered the Zuckerman-Kuhlman Personality Questionnaire - ZKQP. The two variables that best discriminate among the prosocial and antisocial risk takers are: Sociability and Aggression- Hostility.

According to Weiner's model, help-giving has various determinants such as social and individual causes, affects and responsibility. The aim of this study was to test the determinants of help in bullying cases. Sixty scenarios of bullying at work, varying according to the kind of harassment, the victim's pro or antisocial behaviors, and the victim's antecedents of bullying, were given to sixty participants (30 men and 30 women of superior / subordinate status in hospital/company). They had to judge the probability of helping. The results showed that the intention of help-giving increased 1) with the kind of bullying: persons whose health was attacked received more assistance than insulated persons, 2) with the victim's pro social behaviors as opposed to antisocial behaviors and, 3) when the persons had no antecedents: unovervictimized persons received more help than overvictimized ones.

The authors aimed to evaluate the prevalence of problem behaviors in a representative randomized national sample of youth in the Czech Republic. The Social and Health Assessment (SAHA), a school survey, was administered to a nationwide sample of 4,980 adolescents in three age cohorts (12, 14, and 16 years) in Prague and 12 regional capitals of the Czech Republic. Three antisocial behaviors, i.e. fistfight, damage of public or private property, and shoplifting, were the most frequent in both genders, while carrying a gun or a weapon (blade, knife, gun) to school were also highly prevalent among boys. The levels of alcohol and cigarette use were high, and increased with age. Marijuana, amphetamines and met-amphetamines were the most frequently used illegal drugs in both genders. Risky sexual behaviors, assessed in 16-year-old adolescents, were also common, with only 64.5% of boys and 46.8% of girls reporting condom use and 27.7 of boys and 21.0% of girls reporting that they had 4 or more sexual partners. This study demonstrated a relatively high prevalence of risk behaviors in Czech youth, a finding with major implications for public health and future research.
