The events of the Revolutions of 1848 brought hopes to revive Poland to both the immigration circles and in the annexed territories, to the lesser degree in the Polish Kingdom, more in the Great Duchy of Poznan and especially in Galicia, where due to the constitution announced on the 25th April 1848 national councils and home guards were established. It was precisely the reason why the Head Agency spread its network onto Galicia. Since June 1848 regular reports were sent to the Hotel Lambert on the political-social situation in Galicia and to chances of the conspiratorial actions to succeed. Special attention should be paid to the report by Antoni Jozef Jedrzejewicz from 29th July 1848 due to very accurate analysis of the situation deprived of illusions for changes in Galicia.

Wydarzenia Wiosny Ludów budziły nadzieję na wskrzeszenie Polski zarówno w kręgach emigracyjnych, jak i pod zaborami, mniej w Królestwie Polskim, bardziej w Wielkim Księstwie Poznańskim, a szczególnie w Galicji, gdzie na mocy konstytucji ogłoszonej 25 kwietnia 1848 r. powstawały rady narodowe i gwardie narodowe. Właśnie z tego powodu Agencja Główna rozszerzyła swoją sieć agenturalną na Galicję. Od czerwca 1848 r. regularnie wysyłano rapo rty do Hotelu Lambert na temat sytuacji polityczno-społecznej w Galicji i szansy powodzenia działań konspiracyjnych. Szczególnie zasługuje na uwagę raport Antoniego Józefa Jędrzejewicza z dnia 29 lipca 1848 r. ze względu na trafną analizę sytuacji, pozbawioną złudzeń na zmiany w Galicji.
