Evangelization and missionary work in the Amazon region are an undertaking that requires great creativity and courage. Real threats result from the nature of missionary work, an indispensable part of which is human promotion, i.e. help for people exploited by corporations, the mining industry, landowners, and protection of natural environment. People who try to be helpers or intermediaries between the conflicted parties often lose their lives. Many of them are recognized as martyrs for faith and human dignity.

Praca w zakresie ewangelizacyjno-misyjnym na obszarze Amazonii jest przedsięwzięciem wymagającym wielkiej kreatywności oraz odwagi. Realne zagrożenia wynikają z charakteru pracy misyjnej, której nieodzowną częścią składową jest promocja ludzka, czyli pomoc ludności wykorzystywanej przez korporacje, przemysł wydobywczy, latyfundystów, a także ochrona środowiska naturalnego. Osoby starające się być pomocnikami czy też pośrednikami pomiędzy poróżnionymi stronami nierzadko tracą życie. Wiele z nich to męczennicy za wiarę oraz godność człowieka.
