Artykuł poświęcony został Sennikowi galicyjskiemu Anny Strońskiej. Autorka była znaną i nagradzaną reportażystką i publicystką. Książka, wydana w 1993 roku, ukazuje obraz XIX- i XX-wiecznego Przemyśla. Miasto na trwałe zapisało się w biografii i twórczości reportażystki. Omówiono sposób ukształtowania narracji, bohatera oraz kategorii czasu i przestrzeni w utworze. Podkreślono obecność ważnych wątków historycznych oraz emocjonalną więź autorki z Przemyślem. Zwrócono uwagę na bogaty rezerwuar gatunków, których cechy wykorzystuje Sennik galicyjski.

This article deals with Sennik galicyjski written by Anna Strońska. The author was a famous award-winning reporter and commentator. The book, written in 1993, portrays a picture of Przemyśl in the 19th and 20th centuries. This is a very important town in the biography and artistic works of the writer. The article discusses the categories of narration, hero, time and space in the work. Sennik galicyjski includes the essential historical plots and emphasized the especially writer’s bond with Przemyśl. The work makes use of many poetic and literary genres.

Artykuł stanowi próbę porównania reportażu jako gatunku z pogranicza literatury i publicystyki oraz formy feature ukształtowanej na gruncie amerykańskim w latach międzywojennych. W tekście zawarto ważkie rozważania teoretyczne o wyznacznikach reportażu i feature, a także poetyce noweli jako tertium comparationis. Przywołano przykłady praktycznych realizacji tych form w tekstach współczesnych polskich twórców (Anny Strońskiej, Jagienki Wilczak, Magdaleny Mazur). Artykuł zamyka podkreślenie najistotniejszych różnic pomiędzy reportażem a feature.

This article attempts to provide a comparison between reportage (the literary and journalistic writing form) and 'feature' (a form moulded in the USA before the Second World War). This work covers the most important theoretical ascertainments about the determinants of reportage and feature, as well as the short story as a tertium comparationis. Practical examples of both forms are given from the output of contemporary Polish writers (Anna Strońska, Jagienka Wilczak, Magdalena Mazur. The article voncludes with the essential differences between these forms.
