Art at the All-Poland Exhibition (or PWK) continuing to beperceived in accordance with a faith deeply seated in romanticism that it is the most valuable creation in the spiritual culture of the (Polish) nation had to find a suitably dignified place for itself at such a spectacular presentation of the recreated Polish State’s thus-far achievements. The Art Section, named at that time a ‘palace’ (Pałac Sztuki), was to be found next door to the Government Palace. The paper discusses works of art that were exposed in the Pałac Sztuki.
