The article includes a description of the ideological and artistic contents of two novels Namerkôny(2012) and Smùgã (2014) by Artur Jabłoński. The author of this literature is a historian, journalist, local politician, the former president of Kashubian-Pomeranian Association and the co-founder of Stowarzyszenie Osób Narodowości Kaszubskiej „Kaszëbskô Jednota” (The Association of Kashubian People „Kaszëbskô Jednota”). His novels make specific, ethnic interpretation of thehistory and the present of the Kashubians. In the first novel, the title protagonist is a stigmatizedman who is rebellious and inquisitive. He seeks the Kashubian identity, which will be free ofPolish and German political aims. The second novel in partial distance only declared in the titledescribes the contemporary reality of Pomerania from afar. This reality is full of materialism andconsumerism whereas the unique individuals must somehow struggle with the hostile world. Inboth cases, the novel’s main character is subject to changes in their personality which lead themto become nationality-wise aware Kashubian men. The differences in plot and style between thenovels stem from the fact that this development is carried out in the style of political fiction andsocial utopia (Namerkôny) or in the criminal or drama convention (Smùgã).

Artykuł zawiera opis treści ideowych oraz artystycznych dwóch powieści Artura JabłońskiegoNamerkôny (2012) oraz Smùgã (2014). Autor tej literatury – historyk, dziennikarz, samorządowiec, dawny prezes Zrzeszenia Kaszubsko-Pomorskiego oraz współzałożyciel Stowarzyszenia Osób Narodowości Kaszubskiej „Kaszëbskô Jednota” napisał utwory, które dokonują specyficznej, narodowościowej interpretacji historii i współczesności kaszubskiej. W myśl pierwszej powieści, tytułowym naznaczonym lub też napiętnowanym jest człowiek niepokorny, dociekliwy i dążący do kaszubskiej tożsamości, która będzie wolna od polskich czy niemieckich racji politycznych. Druga powieść w częściowym tylko deklarowanym w tytule dystansie i z boku opisuje współczesną rzeczywistość pomorską, w której panuje materializm i konsumeryzm, zaś wyjątkowe jednostki muszą zmagać się nieprzychylnym światem. W obydwu powieściowych przypadkach główny bohater podlega przemianom osobowościowym doprowadzającym go do bycia uświadomionym narodowo Kaszubą. Różnica fabularna i stylistyczna pomiędzy utworami polega wszakże na tym, że ów rozwój dokonuje się w poetyce politycznej fikcji i socjalnej utopii (Namerkôny) albo w konwencji kryminalno-obyczajowej (Smùgã).
