Zastosowanie modeli czasu trwania do oceny stopnia deprecjacji kapitału ludzkiego

Celem artykułu jest ocena stopnia deprecjacji kapitału ludzkiego z wykorzystaniem modeli czasu trwania. Zbadano czy wpływ wieku i wykształcenia osoby poszukującej pracy na intensywność podejmowania zatrudnienia zmienia się w czasie i czy zmiana ta zależy od płci osoby bezrobotnej. Estymator funkcji trwania Kaplana−Meyera posłużył do oceny prawdopodobieństwa niepodjęcia zatrudnienia. Model hazardu empirycznego wykorzystano do oceny różnic w intensywności podejmowania pracy. Model nieproporcjonalnego hazardu Coxa zastosowano do oceny zmian w intensywności względnej podejmowania pracy po przejściu w stan długotrwałego bezrobocia. Materiał badawczy stanowiły dane indywidualne osób bezrobotnych zarejestrowanych w Powiatowym Urzędzie Pracy w Szczecinie w 2012 r. obserwowane do końca 2013 r.

The purpose of the article is to assess the level of human capital depreciation by means of survival models. The authors answers the question if the effect of jobseeker’s age and education on their employment intensity is changing over time and if this change depends on an unemployed person’s gender. The Kaplan−Meyer survival function calculator is used to evaluate the likelihood of failure in finding a job. The empirical hazard model is applied to assess the differences in employment intensity. By means of the Cox nonproportional hazards model the author examines the changes in the relative employment intensity after having entered a long-term unemployment. The study is conducted on the basis of individual data of the unemployed people registered in the Poviat Labour Office in Szczecin in 2012. The observation was terminated at the end of 2013.
