This article discusses the course of the Polish retaliatory expedition to Moldavia, undertaken after the aggression of the hospodar Bogdan III Orbul towards Poland in the summer of 1509. The events are presented in a broad historiographical context, drawing not only on period sources, but also on 19th century studies and recent research results. The process of forming the military contingent for the campaign and the command structure are briefly presented, taking into account a previously unknown manuscript that detailed the formation of the Polish army that was established in a camp near Buchach. The paper focuses on the course of the campaign, including the recapture of Pokutia, the incursion into the territory of the Principality and the subsequent operations conducted in the region, and the march back to the Polish Kingdom, culminating in the battle of the Dniester crossing at Chocim on 4 October 1509.

Dieser Aufsatz befasst sich mit dem Verlauf der polnischen Vergeltungsexpedition nach Moldawien, die nach dem Angriff des Gospodars Bogdan III. des Einäugigen gegen Polen im Sommer 1509 unternommen wurde. Die Ereignisse werden in einem breiten historiographischen Kontext dargestellt, der sich nicht nur auf zeitgenössische Quellen stützt, sondern auch auf schwer zugängliche Studien des neunzehnten Jahrhunderts und neueste Forschungsergebnisse. In einer knappen Darstellung werden der Prozess der Aufstellung des militärischen Kontingents für den Feldzug sowie die Kommandostruktur nachgezeichnet, wobei ein bisher unbekanntes Manuskript berücksichtigt wird, das die Aufstellung der polnischen Armee im Lager bei Buczacz wiedergibt. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf dem Verlauf des Feldzuges unter Berücksichtigung der Rückeroberung von Pokucie, des Eindringens in das Gebiet der Hospodakien, der dort durchgeführten Operationen und des Rückmarsches in das polnische Königreich, der in der Schlacht am Dnjestrübergang bei Chocim am 4. Oktober 1509 gipfelte.

W artykule omówiony został przebieg polskiej wyprawy odwetowej do Mołdawii, podjętej po agresji hospodara Bogdana III Jednookiego na Polskę latem 1509 r. Wydarzenia przedstawiono w szerokim kontekście historiograficznym, sięgając nie tylko do źródeł z epoki, ale również trudno dostępnych współcześnie opracowań dziewiętnastowiecznych i najnowszych wyników badań. Pokrótce przedstawiono proces formowania kontyngentu wojskowego na potrzeby kampanii i strukturę dowodzenia, uwzględniając nieznany dotychczas rękopis przedstawiający szyk polskiej armii ustanowiony w obozie pod Buczaczem. Skupiono się na przebiegu kampanii, uwzględniając odzyskanie Pokucia, wtargnięcie na teren hospodarstwa, prowadzone tam działania oraz marsz powrotny do Królestwa Polskiego, zwieńczony bitwą na przeprawie dniestrzańskiej, pod Chocimiem, 4 października 1509 r.
