Artykuł podejmuje tematykę specyficznej formy rozrywki, jaką są gamebooki, łączące ze sobą świat gier i książek. Po przedstawieniu założeń i historii omawianego zjawiska przeanalizowano je w kontekście multimediów oraz nowych form książki. Poczynione ustalenia pokazują, że choć gry paragrafowe czasy świetności mają już za sobą, to przyświecająca im idea rozszerzania przestrzeni książki i angażowania odbiorcy w proces tworzenia dzieła przeżywa dziś renesans.

The article deals with a specific form of entertainment, namely gamebooks – meeting place of two worlds: books and games. After the presentation of the assumptions and the history of the discussed phenomenon, it is analyzed in the context of multimedia and new forms of the book. The conclusion shows that probably the time of gamebooks is already gone but the idea of extending the book’s space and engaging the reader in the creating process enjoys its renaissance.
