Artykuł przedstawia biografię oraz dorobek naukowy polskiego okulisty Bronisława Ziemińskiego (1860- 1915), współzałożyciela Polskiego Towarzystwa Okulistycznego. Studiował na Uniwersytecie w Dorpacie. W latach 1884 i 1885 pracował w klinice prof. Raehlmanna. W 1884 roku uzyskał stopień doktora. W 1892 roku został ordynatorem etatowym Instytutu Oftalmicznego w Warszawie. W 1908 roku został prezesem i współzałożycielem Polskiego Towarzystwa Okulistycznego dla Królestwa Polskiego. W 1909 roku wydał podręcznik pt. Zarys okulistyki.

The article presents the biography and scientific achievements of the Polish ophthalmologist Bronisław Ziemiński (1860-1915). He studied at the University of Dorpat. He became the head of the Ophthalmic Institute in Warsaw in 1892. He became the president and co-founder of the Polish Ophthalmological Society for the Kingdom of Poland in 1908. He published a textbook Zarys okulistyki in 1909.
