The article deals with a problem of self-identification in the literary works of Vladimir Minac. It comes out at two concepts of self-identification - an individual experience and a collective, confessional or national concept while the ambition is to depict it in the universal terms. The literary work of Vladimir Minac is an illustration of mutual interaction between two poles of self-identification mentioned above. Both of the poles condition each other, overlap and reshuffle depending on contemporary cultural and social context. Both aspects are not in an opposite contrary position, they complete each other dialectically. Minac comes with his own version of the 'national history' rooted in the romantic traditions. In his prosaic and essayistic works he often turns his attention to her as she means a refuge for him, his solid wall resistant against the attacks of the outer world. The country appears in many forms ('existential', 'constructional', 'romantic', 'private'), while she also represents a topically-thematic invariant placing over controversy and chaos of the people's world. The text is a part of a monograph of the literary works of V. Minac that is focused on the motif of country in his literary works.

The aim of our paper is threefold: 1. to examine consumers´ ethnocentric tendencies in dairy product category; 2. to investigate how demographic variables (age, gender, income and education) influence ethnocentric tendencies, and 3. to explore the impact of ethnocentrism on the willingness to buy domestic products. A sample of 265 respondents was employed in the research to collect the empirical data. To explore the impact of demographic variables on ethnocentrism in Slovak population and to prove the interaction hypotheses, one-way ANOVA tests and linear regression model were employed. The results of the research indicate that consumer ethnocentricity is a significant factor that should be taken into account in creating promotional campaigns for dairy products.

The contribution has several aims. In addition to the discussion that follows variability of the concept of landscape and its relationship to the category of environment (particularly with regard to the urban environment, where it appears the concept of environment as a more adequate) the contibution focuses on the specific problem of the current aesthetics: transformation of aesthetic reflection of the city as a whole, which is realized by the contemporary aesthetics and philosophy through the Kantian aesthetics in Critique of Aesthetics Judgement. Elaboration of opinions of Marie Rubene and Miroslav Marcelli leads us not only to summarize the conclusions of recent theses, but further to reflect the transformation of (mega)city to a country, specific environment free from original effectiveness, where "human returns to natural and becomes a sort of huge subject, which is fluid in its inside ..."). Reflection is primarily guided by the category of sublime as an explanatory framework.
