Dynamiczny rozwój sektora usług biznesowych przyczynia się do transformacji zawodu księgowego. Nowoczesne centra usług wspólnych kształtują "nowych" księgowych, stawiając przed nimi specyficzne wymagania odnośnie do wiedzy, umiejętności i kompetencji miękkich. Celem artykułu jest przybliżenie kariery zawodowej księgowego podejmującego pracę w centrach usług finansowo-księgowych. Na podstawie przeglądu literatury i przeprowadzonych badań potwierdzono, iż księgowi centrów rozliczeniowych to przede wszystkim młodzi ludzie, zainteresowani szybką karierą, z dużą częstotliwością zmieniający miejsce pracy. Sektor ten stwarza młodym księgowym dogodne warunki do rozwoju wiedzy i przechodzenia wraz z awansem pionowym do najbardziej prestiżowego działu, to jest księgi głównej.

This paper presents the impact of shared services centers (SSC) on a new nature of work and careers in accountancy. SSC create "new" accountants, paying special attention to specific knowledge and soft skills. The purpose of this article is to investigate professional development for accountants in SSC. Based on the subject literature and employee surveys, the authors of the paper have analyzed the motivation to start a career as an accountant SSC, opportunities for career development and future prospects. In general, in the SSC sector staff turnover is very high. However, shared service centers offer young graduates favorable conditions for gaining essential skills and moving to the most advanced department - general ledger.
