Celem artykułu jest deskrypcja zjawiska przestępczości zorganizowanej jako zagrożenia bezpieczeństwa. W artykule dokonano charakterystyki pojęcia przestępczości zorganizowanej, jej typologii, cech charakterystycznych, struktury, form działalności oraz krajowych i międzynarodowych podstaw prawnych jej zwalczania, w tym ról poszczególnych instytucji. Do osiągnięcia celu artykułu wykorzystano jakościowe metody badawcze, obejmujące analizę źródeł literaturowych, danych statystycznych oraz aktów prawnych.

The purpose of this paper is to describe the phenomenon of organized crime as a threat to public security. It presents the characteristics of the concept of organized crime, its typology, characteristics, structure, forms of activity and national and international legal basis for its combating, including the roles of individual institutions. to achieve the purpose of the article, qualitative research methods were used, including the analysis of literary sources, statistical data and legal acts
