Artykuł przedstawia postać o. Antoniego Koszorza SVD, polskiego werbisty, który pracował ponad 50 lat w Warszawie, a obecnie przebywa na zasłużonym odpoczynku w Domu Misyjnym w Górnej Grupie. Autor artykułu koncentruje się głównie na historii powstania werbistowskiego Centrum Migranta Fu Shenfu i Stowarzyszenia Sinicum im. Michała Boyma SJ. O. Koszorz tworzył te dzieła, będąc już w wieku emerytalnym - są one zwieńczeniem jego misyjnej pracy. Wrodzone zdolności organizacyjne pomogły o. Koszorzowi w tworzeniu nowych misyjnych projektów i w ich zarządzaniu. Po święceniach w 1957 r. o. Koszorz pracował krótko w Pieniężnie jako wykładowca i angażował się w animację misyjną. W 1965 r. zostaje sekretarzem Papieskiej Unii Misyjnej Duchowieństwa w Polsce i przenosi się do Warszawy. W 1982 r. w czasie stanu wojennego tworzy wydawnictwo Verbinum i zakłada czasopismo ”Misjonarz”. W tym czasie nawiązuje bliskie relacje z o. Romanem Malkiem SVD, polskim werbistą i sinologiem (Instytut Monumenta Serica i China Zentrum w Sankt Augustin w Niemczech). Ta znajomość leży u podstaw powstania Sinicum. Podczas pracy w wydawnictwie pod koniec lat 90. XX w. o. Koszorz dostrzega obecność imigrantów w Warszawie i tworzy dla nich w 2005 r. centrum na poddaszu werbistowskiego domu misyjnego na warszawskiej Pradze. Praca misyjna o. Koszorza nie tylko była pod każdym względem pionierska, ale pokazała, że w każdych warunkach mogą powstawać wielkie misyjne dzieła.

The article presents the figure of Father Antoni Koszorz SVD, a Polish Divine Word Missionary, who worked for over 50 years in Warsaw, and is currently on a well-deserved rest at the Mission House in Górna Grupa. The author of the article focuses mainly on the history of the creation of the SVD Migrant Centre Fu Shenfu and the Sinicum Association under the name of Michał Boym, SJ. Father Koszorz created these works already at the retirement age and they are the culmination of his missionary work. Inborn entrepreneurial skills helped Fr. Koszorz in creating and managing new missionary projects. After ordination in 1957, Father Koszorz worked briefly in Pieniężno as a lecturer and was involved in missionary animation. In 1965, he became the secretary of the Pontifical Missionary Union of the Clergy in Poland and moved to Warsaw. In 1982, during the martial law, he established the Verbinum publishing house and founded the “Misjonarz” magazine. During this time, he established close relations with Fr. Roman Malek SVD, a Polish Divine Word Missionary and sinologist (Monumenta Serica Institute and China Zentrum in Sankt Augustin, Germany). This acquaintance underlies the creation of the Sinicum. While working in the publishing house in the late 1990s, Fr. Koszorz noticed the presence of immigrants in Warsaw and in 2005 created for them a centre in the attic of the SVD mission house in Warsaw’s Praga district. The missionary work of Father Koszorz was not only pioneering in every respect, but his uncompromising attitude showed that great missionary works can be created under all conditions.
