In a common opinion, online shopping is considered more risky than traditional shopping in regular shops. The results of research presented in this article constitute an attempt to look at the issue from a wider perspective. In the article, the following questions have been answered: What apprehensions and doubts accompany e-consumers while making online shopping? Which are the most important for them? What are consumers doing to reduce the risk of a failed purchase? And also how much are e-consumers aware of their rights.

Interactive shopping aids (ISA) became widely used by consumers in recent years. Paper presents results from two samples: conducted in 2012 and 2008. Some direct comparisons are made. Declared frequency of ISA usage was the base for analysis of demographic and psychographic variables influence on it with possible interactions. There was also path model utilized. Main findings include: growth of ISA usage popularity with fall of average frequency for particular ISA; age as main factor explaining ISA usage.

The article is based on the results of qualitative research and is an attempt to find answers to questions about how the consumer decides to buy in contemporary retail environment on example of durable good. On the basis of projection techniques the consumers' decision making processes have been revealed and some of their determinants found for light users and non-users of the Internet.

For many companies market is no more geographically limited. The European market is united by a common demographic, economic and cultural trends. Consumers in Europe are generally characterized by a similar type and style of consumption. A group of consumers who behave the most similarly, regardless of their country of origin, are young buyers. The purpose of this article is to identify the places and countries where young e-consumers, from selected European countries, do their online shopping (based on the results of international comparative research carried out in 2012 in six European countries on a sample of 1800 people).

The relations between entrepreneurs and banks are constantly changing. It results from the changes in the economic environment as well as the development processes taking place in enterprises. Banks are for the enterprises the main source of investing and turnover capital, at the same time stimulating their development. To some extent banks also add to the system of their internal control and warn against the enterprises' inefficient decisions. By fulfilling these functions they become, both directly and indirectly, institutions backing the economic development on the macroeconomic scale. In this article, a trial to identify and assess the big enterprises' expectations towards banks have been undertaken. The results of the research indicate the directions of changes which the banks should follow in order to fully match their offer with the needs and expectations of their corporate clients. The correctness of these relations and mutual satisfaction, supported by the realization of business, guarantees the development of enterprises and complies with the interests of national economy.

L’objectif de cet article est d’analyser l’impact des réseaux sociaux sur les comportements des jeunes consommateurs dans la société de l’information. Cet article présentera les outils utilisés par les entreprises pour la promotion dans les réseaux sociaux en fonc- tion de différents paramètres. L’article montrera aussi les avantages ainsi que les inconvénients de la promotion par les réseaux sociaux. L’article présentera les réflexions fondées sur les données secondaires qui présentent le développement des réseaux sociaux en Pologne, en France et dans le monde entier ainsi que les résultats des recherches empiriques réalisés parmi les étudiants de l’Ecole Polytechnique de Lodz (Pologne).

The purpose of this article is to use the hybrid C&RT-logit model in churn analysis in Orange telecom company. The combination of decision tree (C&RT algorithm) with logistic model improved the accuracy of prediction and enriched the interpretation of model. The dataset used during the study comes from KKD Cup in 2009.

Zgodnie z modelem relacyjnym istotą zarządzania jest sztuka zdobywania, utrzymywania i rozwijania relacji z klientem, dawanie i komunikowanie mu wartości, które mają dla niego największe znaczenie. Przedsiębiorstwo, budując relacje z klientami, nie może robić tego bezrefleksyjnie i spontanicznie. Aby proces tworzenia relacji przedsiębiorstwo – klient miał racjonale przesłanki, należy dokonać oceny wartości portfela klientów. Niniejszy artykuł prezentuje wybrane sposoby szacowania wartości portfela klientów przedsiębiorstwa.

Nowadays, the center of attention of many companies find customers with their needs. The essence of management is the art of building, maintaining and developing relationships with clients, giving and communicating to them the values that are most important to them. The company building a relationship with customers can not do this without thinking and spontaneously. To make the process of creating relationships before undertaking – the client had rational reasons should assess the value of the customer portfolio. This article presents some ways of estimating the value of the portfolio of clients.

Wartość, choć różnie interpretowana w literaturze, stanowi współcześnie ważny przedmiot analiz. Co niezwykle istotne, wyraźnie akcentuje się jej znaczenie dla osiągania celów biznesowych przedsiębiorstwa. Lepsza wartość dla klienta jest generatorem sukcesu przedsi ębiorstwa, gdzie istotny obszar konkurowania pełni system logistyczno-marketingowy. Artykuł porusza problema-tykę dotyczącą sieci wartości, które są tworzone przy współudziale wielu podmiotów. Rozważania akcentują również konieczność nieustannej współpracy między podmiotami będącymi uczestnikami sieci.

The aim of the article is to identify the aspects of logistics and marketing ne-twork to create value for the customer. The value though differently interpreted in the literature, is today an important subject of analysis. Most importantly, clearly emphasizes its importance to achieving business goals. Better value for the customer is the generator of the company’s success, where an important area to compete fully marketing logistics and system. The article discusses issues concerning value networks that are created in conjunction with multiple entities. Considerations also emphasize the need for constant cooperation between entities who are members of the network

The consumption of public services is more complex than consumption of private goods and s services. Many different terms have been used to describe public services users. In particular, the article identifies the different terms that have been used in public sector, including "client", "customer", "consumer". In very brief and general terms client is often seen as the quintessential welfare state user, the passive recipient of professional knowledge. Customer is linked with quality of public service and performance indicators and performance information. Consumer is linked with choice and competition. The figure of customer and consumer have been central to the institutional reforms later became known as New Public Management.

Thanks to development of ICT consumers have been given new tools, which make searching for information and sharing opinions easier. New communication tools have become subject of many publications. Having read them we may come to a conclusion that consumers' role in marketing communication has increased significantly and that consumers are the dominant subject of communication process. The author of this article proves that the above conclusion is false. In fact, the author puts the opposite thesis, which says that advertisers have huge advantage observed in opportunities of common advertisements' individualization, which is done to consumers' unawareness. It doesn't matter if it is a consumer who initiates exchange of information as his/her behaviour was previously carefully monitored and controlled consequently.

The subject of the article is how companies make use of Internet users' potential in creating values. The presented information include aims, rules and ways of implementation, as well as expected results of demand models of innovation based on consumers' knowledge and competencies. The main emphasis was put on user driven innovation and design thinking attitudes. The next part of the article refers to crowdsourcing as a mechanism of acquiring clients' ideas, with the indication of assumptions and examples of this kind of cooperation with clients. The diversity of Internet users' potential was also underlined. In the third part of the article research results were analyzed, which referred to how companies use Internet technologies in customer relations. Particular emphasis was put on the results of nationwide survey conducted by the author, and in order to deepen the diagnosis, the author presented the results of a survey conducted among companies, which are leaders in strategic sectors of Polish economy. A significant point of reference for the discussed issues was also results of studies conducted in companies operating on international market. The last part of the article was devoted to factors stimulating and inhibiting the development of crowdsourcing, which companies should take into account when developing their cooperation with clients in the Internet.

W artykule przedstawiono problematykę postrzegania społecznej odpowiedzialności banków przez ich klientów. Szczególny akcent został położony na ekologiczną odpowiedzialność współczesnych instytucji finansowych. Zielona bankowość, "green banking", stanowi obecnie nowy wymiar bankowości. Banki, chcąc utrzymać przewagę konkurencyjną na współczesnych rynkach finansowych, powinny w swych działaniach uwzględniać te elementy, które mają na celu ochronę środowiska naturalnego. Ponadto instytucje te powinny nie tylko wspierać ekologiczne inwestycje, lecz również kształtować postawy proekologiczne wśród swoich klientów. "Green economy", "green growth", "green jobs", a przede wszystkim właśnie "green banking" można zaliczyć do coraz popularniejszych terminów łączących tematykę ekonomii z ochroną środowiska. Analizy problematyki przedstawionej w pierwszej części artykułu dokonano w oparciu o badania ankietowe, które zostały przeprowadzone w grupie prawie 300 studentów jednej z polskich uczelni ekonomicznych. Pytania dotyczyły m.in. czynników determinujących wybór banku oraz znaczenia aspektów społecznej odpowiedzialności w procesie podejmowania decyzji o wyborze tych instytucji.

There are increasingly more actions in the area of social responsibility of entities operating on the contemporary financial markets that can be noticed when observing the markets. To an increasingly greater scale, this phenomenon relates also to banks which pursue their activities in both European and global economies. Such actions are taken both in the area of internal economy of those institutions and financing investments oriented towards respecting natural resources. Entities, such as environmentally friendly institutions, social organisations, experts, scientists, local community leaders, "green" parties, should involve in the process of shaping environmentally friendly attitudes in contemporary societies, also in the area of financial decisions. The article presents the problem of the perception of social responsibility of banks by their customers. Analysis of the issues presented in the first part of the article was based on a survey, which was conducted in a group of nearly 300 students of one of Polish universities of economics.

Customer loyalty programs are increasingly becoming an integral tool of marketing activity of large retail chains and the basis for building their market strategy. Large retail chains recognize that greatest value in loyalty programs is the possibility of improving knowledge about customers and potential impact on their attitudes and buying behavior. The purpose of this article is to present the role of a loyalty program as a tool for marketing communications in the market strategies of large retail chains. This paper presents the thesis that the competitiveness of today's commercial networks' loyalty programs provide a rich spectrum of communication channels and enable participants to communicate with the organizers of the program in a way that best suits them.

Wzrost konkurencyjności przedsiębiorstw powoduje poszukiwanie nowych sposobów komunikacji między przedsiębiorstwami a klientami. W celu utrzymania się na rynku przedsiębiorstwo ciągle poszukuje nowych rozwiązań marketingowych. Odpowiedzią na te poszukiwania może być system CRM. Artykuł przedstawia opracowanie optymalnego systemu CRM dla firmy Astor, co przebiegało w następujących etapach: dyskusja zespołu analityków, analiza potrzeb, określenie funkcjonalności systemu oraz wybór rozwiązania. Przedstawiono tu również sam proces wdrażania systemu CRM i naświetlono korzyści. Proces ten jest bardzo złożony wymagał współpracy różnych działów firmy oraz umiejętności zarządzania zmianą. Efektem jest udane wdrożenie sytemu.

As increase in competitiveness between companies leads to pursuit of new ways to communicate between businesses and customers. In order to keep its position in the market a company continuously looks for new marketing solutions. The answer to these searches can be a CRM system.This paper presents the development of an optimal CRM system for the Astor company, which proceeded in the following stages: analyst team debate, analysis of needs, definition of system functionality and the choice of solution. It also presents the process of the implementation of the CRM system and highlights the benefits. Such a complex process required cooperation between different departments of the company and changes in management skills. The result was a successful implementation of the system.

Рост конкурентности предприятий влияет на поиск новых способов коммуникации между предприятиями и клиентами. Для того, чтобы удержаться на рынке, предприятия постоянно ищут новых маркетинговых решений. Ответом на эти поиски может быть система CRM. В статье представлена разработка оптимальной системы CRM для фирмы «Астор», которая проходила следующими этапами: дискуссия аналитиков, анализ потребностей, определение функциональности системы, а также выбор решения. В статье представлен также сам процесс внедрения системы CRM и освещено его значение. Процесс этот был очень сложным и нуждался в сотрудничестве разных отделов фирмы, а также умения управления изменениями . Эффектом было удачное внедрение системы.

Basing on the example of a scientific institute, this article shows: – potential areas in which CRM philosophy, procedures and tools could be applied – purpose of applying CRM – outcomes to expect from CRM application The article shows the Customer Relationship Management idea exclusively, along with areas of its use in scientific and research institutions and also a proposal to determine a group of clients for these institutions. The summary of the article consists of information regarding sources of knowledge about CRM philosophy and procedures (mainly bibliographical) and also about IT systems which support CRM.

W artykule przedstawiona jest idea CRM, obszary zastosowań w instytucjach naukowych i badawczych oraz propozycja określenia grupy klientów tych instytucji. Podsumowaniem artykułu są informacje o źródłach wiedzy o filozofii i procedurach CRM (głównie bibliograficznych) oraz o systemach informatycznych wspomagających CRM.
