Customer relationship management (CRM) is growing in importance due to the challenging business environment facing organisations around the world. CRM includes employees, business processes and technologies to maximise customer loyalty and, as a result, business profitability. This paper focuses on CRM as a tool with which to strengthen brand loyalty. The aim of the research was to verify the positive impact of CRM on customer loyalty, respectively brand loyalty for a Slovak company, i.e. to determine whether there is a statistically significant relationship between customer relationship management and brand loyalty. This was achieved through the application of the Chi-square test of independence and subsequent correspondence analysis. The analysis of the research results confirmed that the more loyal a customer is to a brand, the more important the CRM activities of the company are with regards to addressing, acquiring and retaining them, as are their activities for achieving customer satisfaction and the determination of customer priorities.

In the past few years the way in which, organizations, companies and corporations structure themselves has given a 180 degrees turnaround, switching from a structure based in products to a structure based in customers. The first big change was the introduction and use of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP) like SAP and Oracle. Those ERP systems changed the way in which the information was managed in large corporations including now a central database and visualizing the structures and functions of the corporation by business processes and not by business areas. Also lately with the advent of the WEB 2.0, the boom of the social media and the big data analytics areas, business, marketing and the relation with the customer has totally changed. One of the most important drivers for this turnaround is the adoption of Customer Relationship Management (CRM). CRM is supporting software designed to improve the relation with the current customers (loyalty) using modern social media and massive marketing technologies. This paper introduces the organizational issues of cross-cultural communication associated with the integration between marketing, customer service, and complaint management with information technology. In highly competitive environments a lot of organizations intent to construct a relationship with their current customers, since the cost involved in capturing new ones is a lot higher than the cost of retaining the current ones. The most crucial factor is the understanding of the clients and their values, norms, traditions, language, religions, perceptions, thoughts in few words their culture. So this cultural dimension analysis is essential and the development of a formal taxonomy or cultural concern framework a need. This paper will deal with the dimension concerns from the technical, cultural and organizational point of view needed to build this framework in order to avoid the terrible consequences of a wrong interaction with the customers due to cultural issues.

The aim of the study was to determine the basis for partner relationship management and ties within integrated supply chains. These include both internal ties (between the integrator and enterprises forming the chain) and external ties, chiefly with buyers and suppliers. The author applied partnership marketing tools as the basis for relationship management and conducted direct interviews with chain integrators. The article reviews three groups of tools: 1) cooperation agreements, marketing programs, letters of intent and memoranda of understanding 2) instruments for the management of groups of products as part of the Effective Consumer Response (ECR) strategy; 3) Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, with a special focus on the individualization of the product range, the quality of services and communication with clients. Group 1 comprises tools needed for building internal relationships, while groups 2 and 3 contain those used to build external relationships. The results of the analysis confirm the need to introduce these instruments, but the application of these tools frequently encounters various difficulties and limitations. Major barriers include poor adaptation of cooperation agreements to the requirements of partner relationship management, failure to monitor contacts with clients and inadequate information technology systems poorly adapted to the needs of managing partner relationships. A proper division of roles and benefits between the chain participants and the integrator, on the one hand, and the market environment, on the other, creates chances for marketing success and development. Partner relationship management requires not only improved cooperation between the chain and the client, but also efforts to refocus personnel toward establishing project teams responsible for winning and keeping loyal clients.

This article analyzes the problem of making functional objectives of the innovative CRM system. The CRM systems are commonly implemented in enterprises by modern organizations expansively developing on the market. Each of them, however, tends to apply the developed strategy in an individual way that frequently surprises the market and its customers. They are derivatives of functional strategies implemented by companies, the cohesion level of which is frequently different. Due to the specific nature of these IT projects that integrate knowledge about the company’s business processes and its surroundings, the strategic thinking is exceptionally essential. This is proved by the holistic approach to the development of CRM’s functionality, considering the necessity to modify and implement it in the future. The author analyzed some selected erroneous practices that may occur at the stage of planning and implementing CRM in the organization, identifying such errors as: users wrongly fill out records in CRM (fictional INPUT data), wrong segmentation of customers by CRM (fictional OUTPUT data), generation of reports inconsistent with CRM (no option to transform data into information and knowledge for the organization), problem with current coordination of the scope of works concerning modifications of previous functionalities of CRM.

Mobile marketing is one of the fastest growing channels of marketing information. Mobile terminal devices and mobile networks allow for mass personalisation of content transmitted to individual recipients thereby facilitating recipient segmentation within one-to-one marketing. Mobile marketing means using interactive wireless media to provide clients with personal information with precise profiling using geo-location, time, and often associated with their interests, sex or other attributes, promoting goods, services and ideas, thus, also generating added value for all the process participants. Mobile media has completely transformed the present concept of marketing campaigns and has opened up a wide array of new opportunities for advertisers. They have also brought new challenges for companies using CRM and KM.
