Autorka przedstawia w artykule zarys dziejów polonistyki na Uniwersytecie Lwowskim, uwypuklając mniej opisany w dotychczasowej literaturze przedmiotu rozwój badań naukowych i naukowo-dydaktycznych po drugiej wojnie światowej, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem obecnego ich stanu — w ramach działalności Katedry Filologii Polskiej Narodowego Uniwersytetu Lwowskiego im. Iwana Franki. Zaznacza także zmiany, które na początku XXI wieku zaszły na Uniwersytecie Lwowskim w dziedzinie dydaktyki języka polskiego i filologii polskiej.

The author presents the main stages in the history of the Polish Studies at the University of Lviv, focusing in her article on the situation — less described in the existing literature — of the development of didactic research after World War II, with particular reference to its current state — within the activity of the Department of Polish Philology. She also points out the changes that occurred at the beginning of the twenty first century in the field of teaching the Polish language and Polish Philology at the University of Lviv in comparison with previous periods.
