According to WHO (World Health Organization) 15% of the world population has a sort of disability. The population of the disabled people is increasing due to aging population, wars, disasters and accidents. This situation leads the built environment and transportation accessibility as a basic need. The study has been conducted to identify how accessible tourism activities can be realized in a destination like Izmir, based on the point of view of tourism professionals and NGO’s working on disability. The data was collected through semi-structured interviews. Data was analyzed according to content analysis technique and classified as measures for accessible tourism destination.

Since Chinese outbound tourism currently represents the largest outbound tourist market, the opportunities for tourism of Montenegro in the Chinese tourist market should be certainly examined. The aim of this paper is to analyze the relevant data about Chinese tourists who are visiting Montenegro: their specific demographic characteristics, travel habits and main motivation, but also to identify the possible ways to increase the number of Chinese tourists in Montenegro in future. For the purpose of this paper, two years long empirical research was conducted among Chinese tourists in Montenegro with the help of questionnaire. Several interviews with representatives of tourism sector in Montenegro were carried out as well. The authors have concluded that only after the total adjustment of Montenegro tourist offer to the Chinese tourists’ preferences, Montenegro could be completely ready for intensive acceptance of Chinese tourists. What’s more, in order to attract larger number of Chinese tourists, the effective marketing policy of Montenegro as a tourist destination should be created in that direction and as well the specialized tourism promotion at the Chinese market should be carried out.

The focus of the submitted article is to introduce the findings of author’s research in the area of destination management process conducted in the developed (Alpine) tourist destinations in the year of 2014. The theoretical part based on a literature review summarizes current knowledge dealing with the destination management process in terms of approaches and research findings. Problems influencing either positively or negatively this process, e.g. financing, legislation or cooperation among stakeholders are also defined. The practical application part includes an analysis of model destinations in Lower Austria and Upper Austria and presents the results of qualitative research conducted in these destinations. The collected information can be used to design methods leading to the improvement of the destination management process in tourist less developed destinations.

W ciągu ostatnich lat turystyka stała się szybko rozwijającym się sektorem gospodarki ogólnoświatowej. Ma duże znaczenie zarówno społeczne, jak i gospodarcze w krajach rozwijających się i tych rozwiniętych. Turystyka ma charakter wielowymiarowy, dlatego jest rozpatrywana w różnych kontekstach, m.in. społecznym, ekonomicznym, psychologicznym, kulturowym oraz przestrzennym. Uczestnictwo w turystyce, a co się z tym wiąże – wybór destynacji turystycznych, to przedmiot niniejszego artykułu. Jego celem jest rozpoznanie determinant aktywności turystycznej i wyboru miejsc recepcji turystycznych wśród studentów uczelni województwa małopolskiego. Na potrzeby realizacji celu zostały przeprowadzone badania ankietowe wśród studentów.

In recent years, tourism has become a rapidly growing sector of the global economy. It is of great social and economic importance in both developing and developed countries. Tourism is multidimensional, which is why it is considered in various contexts, including social, economic, psychological, cultural and spatial. Participation in tourism, and thus the choice of tourist destinations will become the subject of the article. Its purpose will be to recognize the determinants of tourist activity and the choice of tourist reception destinations among students. For the purposes of this goal, student surveys will be conducted.
