The article deals with the object of didactic research and theory in aesthetics education. It strives after such generalization, which allows one to think out interdisciplinary relations between didactics within the field of aesthetics as well as to other educational areas. Goodman’s aesthetics theory of symbolization and its focusing on denotation, exemplification and expression is the main source for explanations in this approach. Expression is analyzed as a symptomatic and aggregate type of representational activities in the aesthetic disciplines of education.

Education has always been at the heart of most, if not all, human endeavours. This explains the growing interest of many scholars in educational issues. Self-Reliance, one of Emerson’s most impressive and influential works, provides an outstanding contribution to education in general and particularly to the personal development of individuals in society. The relevance of the educational values addressed in Self-Reliance makes it an appropriate context for academic reflection. This paper scrutinises the educational dimension of Emerson’s work with a focus on language didactics. My concern is to provide evidence that the educational values expressed instruct didactics. The study of Self-Reliance reveals the expression of some values, the main ones being trust, responsibility, commitment, creativity, autonomy, independence, self-esteem, self-determination, self-evaluation, and individual talents. By reflecting on their educational dimension with a focus on their didactic implications I come to conclude that even though didactics does not draw directly on Emerson’s educational philosophy, it integrates some aspects, notably the values referred to in this paper.

This study deals with the issue of pedagogical humanization. The author identifies and analyses the causes of modern crisis of humanity as well as its pedagogical formation, which is based on anthropological reductionism and post-enlightenment restriction of the transcendental dimension of humanity. As an alternative to the problematic modern anthropology, the study presents Comenius’s view of humanity, which provides stimulating material for the humanisation efforts in contemporary pedagogy.

Education systems confront new requirements to become more efficient and contribute more to the economic success of society. At the same time there are new challenges for the education systems to perform their tasks using advanced technology. In capacity, information technology considerably surpasses the current learning technology. Supported by Internet it creates an electronic parallel to the standard school and learning. Unfortunately there is only sporadic evidence that supported by information technology, learning and education system as a whole can be considerably improved. In spite of that, we believe there is no way back and e-education is not just a temporary whim. Even though we do not know exactly who should perform what and to which scope. The passiveness of pedagogues, the lack of empirical research and the occurring expansion of the market for e-education products without their quality assessment is not of advantage to this progress. The spread of e-education production without considering the professional opinion of pedagogues, who beside their practical work must also engage in developing their own pedagogical theory, might not benefit the existing education achievements. On the other hand, didactics can by analogy be applied also in the web environment, consequently creating the related assessment mechanisms of the electronic education elements.

The objective of the article is to analyse the didactic use of original literary texts in contemporary French textbooks of French as a foreign language. The author explores the issue whether didactic work with these texts (in the form of pre-reading, reading and post-reading tasks) does not lead to a reduction or flattening of their artistic value. Concerning the pedagogical goals of foreign language teaching, which are not primarily focused on the aesthetic perception of the text, but rather on the activation of students’ language inventory, we can assume that simplification naturally occurs. Work with the text is often led from global comprehension opening a pre-selected discussion topic, through targeted work with language inventory (e.g., expanding vocabulary) to the pupils’ own language production, to whom the text serves as a source of inspiration. Surprisingly, the analysis of selected textbooks showed that this didactic approach is not prevalent. In more than half of the cases, literary texts are processed with regard to the specifics of the artistic texts and thus serve not only to reflect on chosen topics, but also to make students more aware of artistic expression as such and of their own artistic creation.

Due to the development of transhumanism, there is an urgent need to undertake research on the place of didactics of computer science in the system of pedagogical sciences. It is particularly important to refer the issues of computer science teaching to the content of the so-called super problems: super longevity, super prosperity, super intelligence.

W związku z rozwojem transhumanizmu istnieje pilna potrzeba podejmowania badań nad miejscem dydaktyki informatyki w systemie nauk pedagogicznych. Szczególnie istotne jest odniesienie problematyki dydaktyki informatyki do treści tzw. superproblemów: superdługowieczności, superdobrobytu, superinteligencji.
