Honor i dyshonor w Janowej narracji Męki Pańskiej w świetle archeologii chrześcijańskiej

Autor podejmuje analizę narracji o Męce Pańskiej w Ewangelii św. Jana w perspektywie pojęć honoru i dyshonoru. Kieruje się założeniami egzegezy antropologiczno-kulturowej, zawartymi w monografii Janusza Kręcidły. Po omówieniu znaczenia honoru i dyshonoru autor rozpatruje ich występowanie w Janowej narracji o męce i śmierci Jezusa (zob. J 18-19). W analizie wykorzystano niektóre dane dotyczące przedmiotów archeologicznych: Całunu Turyńskiego oraz Chusty z Oviedo – szczególnie w komentarzu dotyczącym biczowania i cierniem koronowania Jezusa, drogi krzyżowej, ukrzyżowania, zdjęcia z krzyża, pochówku Jego ciała. W rezultacie analiza narracji o Męce Pańskiej otrzymuje merytoryczne „dopowiedzenie” oparte na danych, których nie zawiera tekst biblijny, a które uwydatniają znaczenie honoru i dyshonoru.

The author of the essay conducts an analysis of the Passion of our Lord as recorded in St John’s gospel in the context of the idea of honour and dishonour, using the methodological tools of the anthropological and cultural exegesis developed by Fr prof. dr hab. Janusz Kręcidło in his book Honor i wstyd w interpretacji Ewangelii, Warszawa 2013 (Polish title: Honour and shame in the interpretation of the Gospel, Warsaw 2013). After an introduction to these two key ideas, the author identifies their appearances in John’s story of the Passion (see J 18-19). He refers to the archeological evidence contained in the Shroud of Turin and the Sudarium of Oviedo, particularly those pertaining to the scourging of Jesus, crowning with thorns, his way up to the Hill of Calvary, crucifixion, removal of his body from the cross and his burial. The author arrives at conclusions emphasising the importance of honour and dishonour in the Passion story.
