The paper is a trial of an application of fuzzy analytical hierarchy process to evaluation of importance of strategic factors in a rural commune. The proposed method consists in build-ing hierarchical scheme. It consists of: general goal, which is ensure the assurance of sus-tainable development in administrate district, basic goals and within each goal, a “package” of activities can be distinguished. On respective levels, elements are pairwise compared by experts. Next priorities of each element are estimated. The proposed procedure was em-ployed to evaluation of importance of strategic goals and activities of the rural commune of Tarnowo Podgórne in the Wielkopolska province.
