This paper presents a case study that examines the overlapping of two related microsocial communication sub-registers, exorcist and charismatic. As a subject for this inquiry, the author chose extensive spoken monologue discourses of a relatively well-known public figure, Roman Catholic preacher Martin Harčár. The author primarily identifies charismatic sub-register elements, as these have more prevalent occurrences in the text. Charismatic elements show up against the background of several linguistic levels and structures such as lexical, compositional, intertextual, and pragmatic. The author puts the results into perspective with relevant Polish research findings and with partial linguistic representations found in the speeches of other Slovak charismatic preachers. In its conclusion, the paper defines specific lexemes, collocations, motives, forms of reproduced speech, and pretexts of charismatic discourses.
