The purpose of this paper is to show that different methods for calculating the spread (Bid-Ask) and the methods for annualizing intra-day data affect the results of econometric models. To achieve our goal, we analyze different econometric models in the context of: i) the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) adoption, ii) the reduction of information asymmetry due to new corporate governance standards, and iii) the ownership concentration that characterize the Chilean Capital Market. We test the quality of the information delivered to the market using two information disclosure indices (DIS and Botosan). We find that the definition of spread and the methods for annualizing intraday data it is a key decision and may affect the statistical significance of the variables of a specific model.

Opracowanie przedstawia stan realizacji strategii Europa 2020 w Polsce w zakresie celów edukacyjnych. W oparciu o dane pochodzące z lat 2001–2015 wyznaczono modele trendu oraz liniowe modele wygładzania wykładniczego, na podstawie kórych zbudowano prognozy wartości mierników dotyczących sektora edukacji. Celem artykułu jest ocena szans i wskazanie horyzontu czasowego realizacji strategii Europa 2020 w aspekcie osiągnięcia przyjętych „celów edukacyjnych”. Na podstawie zaproponowanych modeli wykazano, że wyznaczone progi w zakresie wykształcenia wyższego ogółem w Polsce będą zrealizowane już w 2016 roku. Analiza wyników procesów modelowania prognostycznego pozwala zauważyć, że sytuacja ta kształtuje się korzystniej w grupie kobiet. W przypadku wskaźnika osób, które przedwcześnie kończą proces edukacji istnieją znikome szanse osiągnięcia założonego progu 4,5% w docelowym roku 2020, zarówno dla ludności ogółem, jak również w grupie mężczyzn. Wymagane wartości miernika zostały już osiągnięte w grupie kobiet.

The paper presents the state of the strategy Europe 2020 of the range of implementation in Poland the educational objectives. Based on data from the years 2001–2015, the trend models and linear exponential smoothing models were constructed. Based on these models the forecasts relating to the education sector were constructed. The aim of this article is to assess opportunities and to identify the time frame of the strategy Europe 2020, in the aspect of achieving the adopted “educational goals”. On the basis of the proposed models, it has been demonstrated, that the designated limits in the field of higher education in general in Poland will be realized already in 2016. This situation is more preferably in a group of women. In the case of index persons who prematurely ending the process of education, there is little chance of achieving the threshold of 4.5% in the target year of 2020, for both the total population as well as among men. Required values of indicators have already been achieved in women’s group.
