W artykule przedstawiono analizę rozwoju rynku pozaszkolnych usług edukacyjnych dla dzieci w Polsce. Jako tło rozważań do niniejszej analizy wykorzystano zagadnienia bezpośrednio lub pośrednio związane z tematyką gospodarki opartej na wiedzy. Do zagadnień tych należą przede wszystkim: teoria rozwoju gospodarczego J. Schumpetera, koncepcja klasy kreatywnej R. Floridy oraz popularyzowane ostatnio pojęcie pokolenia Z. Przeprowadzone analizy wykazały iż zauważalny jest obecnie w polskim społeczeństwie trend związany z pobudzaniem i wzbogaceniem kreatywności dzieci. Przekłada się on bezpośrednio na wzrost zainteresowania zajęciami pozalekcyjnymi dla dzieci. Takie podejście ma na celu przygotowania ich w przyszłości do funkcjonowania na wymagającym i uzależnionym od gospodarki opartej na wiedzy rynku pracy.

The article presents the analysis of the development of market-school educational services for children in Poland. As the background of this analysis we used some issues directly or indirectly related to the subject of knowledge-based economy. These include the theory of economic development by J. Schumpeter’s, R. Florida’s creative class concept and the recently popularized term of generation Z. The analysis showed that we could notice in polish society the trend connected to stimulation and enrichment the creativity of children. This trend transfers indirectly to the increase of the interest of market-school educational services for children. This approach intends to prepare children to the future work on the exigent market labor.
