Exchange-traded products (ETP) are one of the newest financial instruments offered on the financial market. They imitate changes in the value of underlying instrument, thus, they offer investors a possibility of making a profit of the underlying instrument without having to buy it. Currently, the Warsaw Stock Exchange offers many types of ETPs. They are investment products with full or partial capital protection, products without capital protection as well as leverage products, issued on such underlying instruments as indices, prices of commodity, currency or shares. This paper presents the mechanism of functioning of moderate risk ETP available on the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the results of the analysis of statistical data on these financial instruments.

Giełdowe produkty strukturyzowane należą do jednych z najmłodszych instrumentów rynku finansowego. Naśladują one zachowanie wartości instrumentu podstawowego, na który zostały wystawione, a tym samym dają inwestorom możliwość osiągnięcia zysku wynikającego ze zmiany wartości instrumentu bazowego bez konieczności jego zakupu. Obecnie na Giełdzie Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie oferowanych jest wiele rodzajów produktów strukturyzowanych. Są to produkty inwestycyjne z pełną lub częściową ochroną kapitału, bez ochrony kapitału, a także produkty lewarowane, wystawiane na takie instrumenty bazowe, jak: indeksy giełdowe, ceny towarów, walut czy akcji krajowych i zagranicznych firm. Celem opracowania jest przedstawienie zasad funkcjonowania produktów strukturyzowanych o średnim ryzyku dostępnych na warszawskiej giełdzie oraz analiza rozwoju tego rynku.
