Uwzględniając znaczenie Internetu dla współczesnych procesów gospodarczych, celem artykułu jest przegląd i systematyzacja wiedzy w zakresie wpływu Internetu na rozwój międzynarodowych przepływów gospodarczych obejmujących handel towarami oraz przepływ kapitału w formie inwestycji bezpośrednich. W wyniku istotnych zmian w środowisku ekonomicznym wywołanych powszechnym wykorzystaniem Internetu rodzą si ę nowe pytania i hipotezy dotyczące możliwych następstw zachodzącej transformacji gospodarki. Dotychczasowe badania w analizowanym zakresie nie potwierdzają jednoznacznie wpływu wykorzystania Internetu na wzrost międzynarodowych obrotów handlowych i kapitałowych.

The Internet plays a significant role in the contemporary economy. The goal of this paper is to present a systematic picture of knowledge about the influence the Internet has on international economic flows, with specific attention to goods trade and capital flow in the form of direct investments. The widespread application of Internet caused numerous changes in economic environment. This, in turn, creates new questions and new hypotheses regarding possible consequences of the economic transformation. It is not possible, basing on the results of the past researches from the analyzed field, to confirm the influence of the Internet on growth of the international capital or trade flows.

Przedmiotem opracowania są efekty BIZ na rynku pracy w Polsce, w szczególności efekt ilościowy w dziedzinie zatrudnienia (liczba miejsc pracy). Próbowano rozpoznać zależność między napływem kapitału z tytułu bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych w Polsce a zatrudnieniem w badanym okresie. W artykule przedstawiono w różnych aspektach krótką, empiryczną charakterystykę spółek z kapitałem zagranicznym w Polsce. Zestawiono dynamikę powstawania spółek z kapitałem zagranicznym z dynamiką zatrudnienia. Problem przedstawiono też w ujęciu regionalnym. Wyniki przeprowadzonej analizy wskazują na niejednoznaczny wpływ bezpośrednich inwestycji zagranicznych na kształtowanie się poziomu i struktury zatrudnienia w Polsce w badanym okresie. W różnych latach tego okresu efekt ilościowy w dziedzinie zatrudnienia był różny.

The subject of the study are the effects of FDI on the labour market in Poland, in particular, quantity effect on employment (number of workplaces). The author attempted to recognize the correlation between the inflow of capital for foreign direct investments in Poland and employment in the analyzed period. The article presents the various aspects of the brief, empirical characteristics of companies with foreign capital in Poland. The dynamics of the establishment of companies with foreign capital has been compiled with the dynamics of employment. The problem has been presented also by the regional embrace. The results of the analysis indicate ambiguous impact of foreign direct investment on the level and structure of employment in Poland in the analyzed period. The quantitative effect of employment was different in various years of this period.
