Polish & Slavic Federal Credit Union (P&SFCU) was founded in 1976 in New York City (Greenpoint) by the Father Longin Tolczyk and a group of a few enthusiasts with the help of an Ukrainian Marian Kots. Ukrainians have had a lot of experience in the establishment of their owns credit unions in the United States, which they began to form about twenty years earlier than the Poles. The first president of the P&SFCU was engineer Marek M. Luniewski (1976–1979). The Union went through ups and downs. P&SFCU is currently listed as the largest of all ethnic credit unions in the United States. It is a strong and stable financial institution. Its members are in the vast majority Poles and the Union is their success.

Polsko-Słowiańska Federalna Unia Kredytowa (P-SFUK) powstała w 1976 roku w Nowym Jorku (Greenpoint). Założycielami Unii była grupa entuzjastów na czele z ks. Longinem Tołczykiem, którym pomógł Ukrainiec Marian Kots. Ukraińcy mieli duże doświadczenie w zakładaniu swoich unii kredytowych, które zaczęli tworzyć około 20 lat wcześniej niż Polacy. Pierwszym prezesem P-SFUK był inżynier Marek M. Łuniewski (1976–1979). Unia przeszła wzloty i była bliska upadku, ale ocalała. Obecnie jest notowana jako największa spośród wszystkich unii kredytowych w Stanach Zjednoczonych. Jest ona silną i stabilną instytucją finansową. Członkami Unii są w zdecydowanej większości Polacy. Jest ona ich sukcesem.
