Growth companies are those capable of considerable size enlargement within a short period of time. Such companies are main contributors to the increase in employment and innovation, therefore the policy for small and medium sized enterprises should focus on them. The paper proposes a methodology for diagnosing the company growth potential and applies this methodology to analyzing beneficiaries of the operational program: Improvement of the Competitiveness of Enterprises (2004-6) funded by the EU.
