Artykuł poświęcony jest przedstawieniu powieści Wie ich Klavierspielen lernte (2019) jako literackiego przykładu tematyzacji muzyki, jego celem zaś analiza motywu muzycznego w oparciu o charakterystykę głównego bohatera – Johannesa. Termin muzycznej tematyzacji używany jest w odniesieniu do teoretycznoliterackich założeń Stevena P. Schera, Konrada Górskiego, Michała Głowińskiego i Wernera Wolfa. W artykule podjęto również próbę ukazania związku między motywem muzycznym występującym w powieści a biografią autora. Powieści Hannsa-Josefa Ortheila charakteryzuje zarówno obecność licznych wątków autobiograficznych, jak i motywów muzycznych. Nierzadko są to teksty, które nie tylko opowiadają o kompozytorach, pianistach, muzykach czy koncertach, ale także szkicują uczucia i emocje, jakie muzyka wywołuje w bohaterach. Wie ich Klavierspielen lernte (2019) to jeden z najsilniej nacechowanych autobiograficznie tekstów tego pisarza. Powieść przedstawia historię Johannesa, którego można interpretować jako alter ego samego autora.

The main aim of this essay is the novel Wie ich Klavierspielen lernte (2019), which is considered as a form of literary representation of textual thematization of music. The goal of the article is to show the musical motif which include a look on the characteristics of the main protagonist – Johannes. The music thematization term is used in reference to Steven Paul Schers, Konrad Górskis, Michał Głowińskis and Werner Wolfs literary-theoretical approach. An attempt was also made in the article to show the connection between the music motif in the novel being discussed and the biography of the author. Novels of Hanns-Josef Ortheil are characterized by many aspects of autobiographical themes and musical motifs. These texts not only describe composers, pianists, musicians or concerts, but also sketch feelings and emotions that music makes in the characters. Wie ich Klavierspielen lernte (2019) is one of the writer‘s most autobiographical texts. This is a story of Johannes, who is the alter ego of the author himself. His passion for music meant that he wanted to become a pianist.

Der Beitrag befasst sich mit dem Roman Wie ich Klavierspielen lernte (2019), der als literarischer Versuch angesehen werden kann, Musik auf der intratextuellen Ebene zu thematisieren. Das Hauptziel dieses Artikels ist es, das Motiv der Musik im Hinblick auf die Charakterisierung der Hauptfigur Johannes darzustellen. Der Musikthematisierung-Terminus wird dabei in Anlehnung an Steven Paul Schers, Konrad Górskis, Michał Głowińskis und Werner Wolfs literaturtheoretischen Ansatz verwendet. Im Beitrag wird auch den Versuch unternommen, den Zusammenhang zwischen dem Musikmotiv im besprochenen Roman und der Biographie des Autors darzustellen. Die Romane von Hanns-Josef Ortheil sind stark mit seiner Biografie verbunden. Nicht selten widmen sie auch Platz für musikalische Motive. Oft handelt es sich dabei um Texte, die nicht nur von Komponisten, Pianisten, Musikern oder Konzerten erzählen, sondern auch die Gefühle und Emotionen skizzieren, welche Musik in den Figuren hervorruft.
