The notion of stereotype appears first in Walter’s Lippmann book entitled Public opinion in 1922. In the Netherlands like in Poland there are functioning a lot of stereotypes. From Polish perespective Dutch are ahistorical society, which is focus on nowness, but on the past. Nowadays Polish image is created by relentless job immigration to the Netherlands. In the Dutch media Polish people are presented by the stereotype image of building workers and cleaners.
