The article allows the reader to safely assume that the issues related to the protection of inalienable rights are covered by the Polish Code of Canon Law as well as the Civil Code. Moreover, it should be stressed that the catalogue of basic human rights and personal goods is not inclusive. The Code of Canon Law does catalogue a limited number of basic rights, however, other fundamental human rights are outlined by a number of canonical documents that form the social doctrine of the Catholic Church. On the other hand, the catalogue of personal goods of the Polish Civil Code is not inclusive, and in matters not outlined by the Code, the doctrine and judicial decisions are applied. Furthermore, under Polish law basic human rights are protected by other laws that are mentioned in the article merely as examples.
