The article discusses Polish contributions to globalization. It is necessary to make suitable decisions in economic and social policy in order to prevail benefits from the globalization process over the necessary costs. Analyzing the globalization impact on decisions made in the field of macro economy it is worth highlighting the range in which the country can pursue the independent macro economy policy and ask about its effectiveness. Polish membership in the European Union is a fundamental phase increasing benefits from globalization.

The article completes and closes an enquiry into and an analyse of the evolution of the Europe an Union’s international environment, contained in Part 1, published in the previous issue of our yearbook. Following presentation of the fundamental global problems regarding social and economic development, environmental issues and security in the previous part, this final part mainly analyses transformations in the area of power arrangement on the global scale. The Author acknowledges historically inevitable fall of the present unipolar system dominated by the USA and presents rudiments of a new global system which only begins to form basing on changes taking place in the arrangement of economic, military and political forces in the present world.

The influence of international environment increases in the global economy. This is visible in every branch of business activity, including arms trade. However, on the international weapons market, both the structure of environment and the impact of its elements are different from civil sectors. In arms trade the most important are political, legal and technological factors. The other elements creating international environment - economic, military, natural and cultural factors - also influence the situation and cannot be ignored. The analysis of environment and understanding of its impact on the activity on weapons market is one of the most important successful factors.
