In the paper principles of workflow class systems were presented and discussed. The attention was paid to engines of workflow systems, which are supporting control workflow. Entire workflow portals were presented too. Commercial and opensource solutions became the subject of the description. One of the wokflow class system was shows as a example of system conception for managing the electronic documentation. Example of the implementation wokflow class system was presented too. In the summary the advantages and disadvantages of the solution and the predicted future of the systems were described.

Changing environment, growing clients' expectations and competition force enterprises to increase efficiency. The decision-makers demand current useful information concerning enterprise's internal position to eliminate risk and enable them to make right choices. It is more and more difficult since the number of economic operations grows. It is increasingly difficult to analyse and transform data. Immediate access to data is also important in managing distant economic units. It enhances building complex IT systems. The author researches overall view on economic organisation from both economic and industrial perspective. The author also researches economic and industrial problem solving and IT support in the context of IT technology.

Human resources are the most important elements of information system. Therefore they can be also an important source of threats during the process of creating as well as functioning of information system. Usually, these threats may appear on every level of creating the information system and may come from both internal and external environment of an enterprise. The article presents the main threats connected with human factor during the process of creating the information system.
