The article assumes that the assessment of the method and quality of teaching computer science in primary schools, formulated by those most interested in this quality (i.e. students taking computer science lessons), has, apart from the analysis of statistical data describing the computer and educational infrastructure, key importance for the assessment of competences with which students leave primary school. This assessment, even if subjective, based on opinions and not tests of competences juxtaposed with grades issued by teachers, should be the basis for designing a reform of teaching computer science in primary schools, not so much in terms of curriculum content, but rather in the sphere of educational practice. The article reports the results of an opinion poll conducted on this subject among secondary school students. The surveyed students had the opportunity to express their opinions and assessments on such matters as: computer science as a practical discipline, the structure of the curriculum and the process of its implementation, evaluation of the quality of computer science lessons in terms of content and the background of the teaching process itself (equipment and teachers).

W artykule skupiono się na skuteczności kształcenia akademickiego w formie e-learningu, re-prezentowanego przez umiejętności w zakresie nowoczesnych technik komunikacyjno-informa-tycznych (ICT) lub technik informatycznych (IT). W tym celu dokonano przeglądu literatury oraz przeprowadzono badania ankietowe. Pozytywnie zweryfikowano tezę, iż kształcenie w formule e-learningu skutecznie oddziałuje na podniesienie kompetencji informatycznych studenta.

The article is focused on academic education effectiveness in a form of e-learning, represented by skills in the field of modern information and communication technology (ICT) or information technology (IT). Literature review was performed and the survey questionnaire carried out for this purpose. A thesis that e-learning education exerts effective influence on improvement of IT com-petences of students was verified positively.

W niniejszym artykule poruszona została tematyka kompetencji informacyjno-komunikacyjnych. Na wstępie wykonano analizę relacji kompetencji informatycznych i informacyjnych oraz ich miejsca w katalogu kompetencji zawodowych. W drugiej części zaprezentowano analizę wyników badań kompetencji informacyjno-komunikacyjnych osób bezrobotnych w rozbiciu ich na jej komponenty: wiedzę, umiejętności i postawy (kompetencje społeczne). Z zaprezentowanych wyników zbiorczych widać, że poziom wiedzy osób bezrobotnych jest przeciętny, umiejętności – również przeciętny, a kompetencji społecznych – wysoki. Kumulatywny poziom kompetencji informacyjno-komunikacyjnych jest natomiast przeciętny.

The aim of this study is to describe information and communication competences. At the beginning an analysis of the relationship between communication and information competences and their place in the catalogue of professional competences was made. The second part presents the analysis of the results of research on communication and information competences of the unemployed, divided into its components: knowledge, skills and attitudes (social competences). The presented aggregate results show that the level of knowledge of the unemployed is common, the skills are also average, and their social competences – high. The cumulative level of information and communication competences is average.

The development of the knowledge-based economy is inextricably linked with the develop-ment of the IT industry. Every now and then new IT specializations are emerging, such as a data architect, data scientistor software robot trainer, which causes dynamic changes in the labor market of IT itself and software-based sectors, e.g. fintech, govtech, computer games, virtual sectors and augmented reality. The dynamics of economic and social changes caused by the implementation of digital technologies in all areas of life causes a permanent demand for specialists in this field. Rozwój gospodarki opartej na wiedzy wiąże się nierozerwalnie z rozwojem branży IT. Co jakiś czas powstają nowe specjalizacje informatyczne takie jak np. architekt danych, analityk danych (data scientist), czy trener robotów programowych, co powoduje dynamiczne zmiany na rynku pracy samej informatyki oraz sektorów bazujących na oprogramowaniu, np. sektory fintech, govtech, gier kompu-terowych, wirtualnej i rozszerzonej rzeczywistości. Dynamika zmian gospodarczych i społecznych wywołanych wdrażaniem technologii cyfrowych do wszystkich obszarów życia powoduje perma-nentne zapotrzebowanie na specjalistów w tej dziedzinie. The needs determined by the rapidly changing world, which is based on the knowledge-based economy, pose new, difficult challenges for the school. The main task of educational systems is to prepare the young generation for quick adaptation to the dynamically taking place. In such a situation, it is necessary to develop independence, activity, creativity, a sense of agency and coping with new, often difficult life situations, which requires a new approach to the process of shaping the personality of the young generation and reorienting the didactic and educational process in the course of providing knowledge to the search for knowledge. Contemporary teachers, who are very often initiators, creators and implementers of the didactic and educational process, have been assigned specific tasks in this regard. For the implementation of the model of education, the foundation of which is the constructivist trend, teaching social and IT competences are particularly important. Therefore, it is extremely important to diagnose them in order to improve the process of teacher education in this area.

Potrzeby determinowane przez szybko zmieniający się świat, którego podstawą jest gospodarka oparta na wiedzy, stawiają przed szkołą nowe, niełatwe wyzwania. Podstawowym zadaniem systemów edukacyjnych jest bowiem przygotowanie młodego pokolenia do szybkiej adaptacji do zachodzących dynamicznie przeobrażeń. Konieczne w takiej sytuacji jest kształtowanie samodzielności, aktywności, kreatywności, poczucia sprawczości oraz radzenia sobie w nowych, nierzadko trudnych sytuacjach życiowych, co wymaga nowego podejścia do procesu kształtowania osobowości młodego pokolenia oraz przeorientowania procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego z toku podającego na tok poszukiwania wiedzy. Szczególnymi zadaniami w tym zakresie zostali obarczeni współcześni nauczyciele, którzy bardzo często są jednocześnie inicjatorami, twórcami oraz realizatorami procesu dydaktyczno-wychowawczego. Dla realizacji modelu edukacji, którego fundamentem jest nurt konstruktywistyczny, szczególnie istotne są nauczycielskie kompetencje społeczne oraz informatyczne. Dlatego niezwykle ważne jest ich diagnozowanie w celu doskonalenia procesu edukacji nauczycielskiej w tym zakresie.
