Wiele polskich podmiotów stara się o realizację projektów badawczo- -rozwojowych, często minimalizując ryzyko poprzez finansowanie ich ze środków publicznych. Sukces definiowany jest wdrożeniem innowacyjnego produktu lub technologii, który wcześniej został stworzony w laboratorium jednostki naukowo-badawczej, uczelni wyższej, ale także w prywatnym dziale badawczym przedsiębiorstwa znającego rynek, konkurencję i potrzeby konsumentów. Również tak zwany plan Morawieckiego przewiduje znaczny wzrost nakładów na badania i rozwój. Jest to związane z przeświadczeniem, iż poziom tych wydatków determinuje konkurencyjność gospodarki, a skuteczna polityka innowacyjna prowadzi do dobrobytu społeczeństwa. W przypadku Polski, znaczącą rolę w tym procesie pełni szeroko rozumiany sektor B+R. Autor artykułu dokonuje analizy znaczenia sektora B+R w kontekście konkurencyjności polskiej gospodarki.

Very often many of the Polish subjects want to minimize the risk of their efforts to complete research and development projects by utilizing public means. The success is determined by initiating an innovative project or advanced technology which was earlier created in the laboratory of scientific and research unit, technical college, but also private research branches experienced with competition and consumers’ requirements. Also the so called Morawiecki’s plan provides considerable growth of expenses on the research and development. It is connected with conviction that the level of business spending raise the competitiveness of economy and the effective innovative policy leads to the welfare of society. In case of Poland the significant role in this process belongs to the widely understood sector R&D. The author of the article performs analysis of meaning of the sector R&D in the context of competitiveness of the Polish economy.

The study raises the issue of innovative competences, which are significant in the light of modern person's functioning in a changing environment. The categories of innovation, innovative competences were defined. The need of shaping the competences, both in private and professional life was shown. The role of school education in the process of shaping creative and innovative competences was determined.

Artykuł dotyczy kompetencji innowacyjnych, które są istotne w świetle funkcjonowania współczesnego człowieka w zmieniającym się środowisku. Zdefiniowano w nim pojęcia: innowacjność, innowacyjne kompetencje. Ukazano potrzebę kształtowania kompetencji innowacyjnym zarówno w życiu prywatnym, jak i zawodowym. Zaprezentowano rolę edukacji szkolnej w procesie kształtowania kompetencji twórczych i innowacyjnych.

Im Artikel wird die Frage der innovativen Kompetenzen berührt, die im Lichte des Lebens des gegenwärtigen Menschen in sich wandelnden Umgebungen relevant ist. Es wurden darin solche Begriffe wie Innovation und innovative Kompetenzen definiert sowie das Bedürfnis dargestellt, die innovativen Kompetenzen sowohl im privaten als auch beruflichen Leben zu gestalten. Es wurde auch die Rolle der Schulbildung bei der Formierung der kreativen und innovativen Kompetenzen beschrieben.
