Die Erzählung über die Offenbarung Jesu Christi am See Genezareth (J 21) berührt die Sachen der ganzen Kirche. Der Fischfang zeigt auf viele aus verschiedenen Nationen stammende Gläubigen. Die Hervorhebung der übergeordneten Rolle Petrus’ in der Kirche durch den Autor, dem es an der Betonung der Bedeutung Johannes des Evangelisten gelegen sein sollte, lässt feststellen, dass er viele Kirchengemeinden kannte und wusste, dass sie alle Christi gehören. Er kannte auch Doktrin, die sie bekannten, er kannte den nur ihnen eigentümlichen Wortschatz, und sogar unbeträchtliche Abweichungen im Inhalt. Er selbst unterzeichnete den Aufbau der Kirche, was Johannes nicht für wichtig hielt, und die gegenwärtige Eschatologie von Johannes versuchte er um die zukunftige in anderen Kirchengemeinden beliebte Eschatologie zu ergänzen. Als Ganzes strebte der Autor von J 21 nach der Einheit von allen Bekennern Christi.

L’auteur indique les éléments communs vole la foi de toutes les communantés de l’Eglise primitive et suit leurs développement. Sur ce fond, il passe ensuite à l’examen des aspects particuliers de la foi, ceux qui caractérisent principalement les communtiques de Jean, en insistant tout spécialement sur le lien personnel du fidèle avec la personne de Jésus Christ. En signalant les rassemblances et les différences intervenant dans la foi des évangélistes synoptiques, de Paul et de Jean, il fait remarquer l’étendue particulière de la notion de foi chez Jean.

W artykule przedstawiono szkic biograficzny wybitnego historyka medycyny, dr. Jana, Bohdana Glińskiego (1915-2019). Na wstępie omówiono drogę życiową, z uwzględnieniem jego postawy patriotycznej, udziału w kampanii wrześniowej, obronie Warszawy w trakcie Powstania Warszawskiego, służbie w Armii Krajowej. Uwzględniono kierunki rozwoju zawodowego wszechstronnego lekarza i zaangażowanie w organizację opieki zdrowotnej w Zgorzelcu. Podkreślono jego wkład w uwiecznienie na kartach historii medycyny polskich lekarzy i farmaceutów, którzy zginęli podczas działań wojennych.

The article presents a biographical sketch of an outstanding medical historian, dr. Jan, Bohdan Glinski (1915-2019). At the beginning, the way of life was discussed, including his patriotic attitude, participation in the September Campaign, defense of Warsaw during the Warsaw Uprising, service in the Home Army. The directions of professional development of the versatile doctor and involvement in the organization of health care in Zgorzelec were emphasized. His contribution to the immortalization on the pages of the history of medicine of Polish doctors and pharmacists who died during war operations.

The article refers to a repeatedly discussed subject of the rebellion staged by John, the son of Simeon I of Bulgaria, against Peter his (?)step-brother. The author of the study has reanalysed sources on the plot for motives of  the conspiracy, its scope,  attitude of the Byzantine Empire towards the rebellion and John’s fate after the year 928. The conspiracy has been concluded to have primarily been an aspect of the struggle for power amongst the successors of Simeon. which is not supposed to have been instigated by Byzantium in any way.

Still, the idea of the Union of Hadiach and a commonwealth of three nations lived on in the minds of the Cossack elite. The Author demonstrates that instructions presented by Cossack envoys to the Commonwealth Diets of 1664 and 1666 were informed by the provisions of the Union of Hadiach. Direct references to the Union were included in a Polish-Ukrainian agreement signed in October 1667 by the future king of Poland, Jan Sobieski, and by one of the best-known Cossack hetmans of the second half of the 17th century, Petro Doroshenko. The Hadiach Articles also formed the basis of the Cossack negotiating position at their deliberations with Polish representatives in the town of Ostrih in 167O. The Cossacks did not get very far in either case. What they were offered instead of the Grand Duchy and other provisions of the Union was a return to the king’s rule with guarantees of religious freedom and estate rights. The idea of a commonwealth of three nations dreamed up by the Ruthenian nobility was buried forever. This was confirmed in the negotiations conducted with the Cossacks by Jan Sobieski after his election to the throne in 1674. The Cossacks were not the formidable adversaries they once had been, and the Polish state would not grant the concessions they asked for.

The article focuses on the Russian personal name Ivan in comparison with Polish Jan and French Jean. Based on an analysis of secondary appellative derivatives of these names in the Russian, Polish (including Kashubian) and French (including Occitan) dialects and colloquial languages, the authors reconstruct the ethno-cultural portraits of prototypical bearers of these names in corresponding languages. The analysis shows that the Russian Ivan, whose name often serves as a symbol of „russianess“, has very few specific features as compared to his French and Polish „brothers“. This conclusion leads to the question on ethnolinguistic mechanisms of derivation from personal names which, in the perspective of the contrastive study of deonyms, seem to be relatively universal.
